Thinking of You!!

HELLO CRAFTY FRIENDS!! 

Larissa here today to share a Thinking of You Card!! I've got a few friends who are battling Cancer and I like to send Cards just to let them know I'm thinking of them!! Especillay during these unusual times when no visitors are allowed in the treatment centers or around those with already compromised immune systems!! I LOVE that CAS-ual Fridays Stamps has these AMAZING Products to help create Cards!! Here's what I've create for today!! 

I Started by Stamping and Embossing the Word Ribbon onto some Distress Watercolor Paper and the Pretty Posies Flower!! I used Distress Oxide Ink in Worn Lipstick to Ink over the entire Ribbon and then add some Water Splatters for some Texture!! I used Copic Markers to Color the Pretty Posie in RV00, RV04 & RV09!! I Die Cut the Pretty Posie out using the coordinating Posies Fr-Dies Then I added a Flower Die Cut from the   Die Set and added a Sparkling Clear Sequin and a Pearl in the center!! I Die Cut the Word Ribbon Image out using the Ruffled Ribbon Die and I wanted to the Word Ribbon to POP up off the Card Panel so I layered 5 Cardstock Ruffled Ribbon Die Cuts from some Pink Cardstock and glued them all together!! 

For the Background I Inked with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and then I added some Water splatters and some Distress Black Soot Paint Splatters!! I also wanted to add some Hickory Smoke Splatters so I used the Splatter Images from the Bomb Diggity Stamp Set!! I like the way that they ground the Ribbon!! A few more Pearls were added around the Ribbon and then I added a Stamped and Embossed a Sentiment on the inside of the Card and wrote my personal message and my Card was done!! I hope you'll remember to keep those going through medical challenges on your list of HAPPY MAIL recipients as I KNOW first hand those are some of the most meaningful Cards to receive!!

Double Stenciling to create your own Patterns!!

HELLO CRAFTY FRIENDS!! 

Larissa here today to share a FUN Stenciled Background that I Foiled for a PUNCH of Shine, then I replaced the Stencil and used Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar to Ink the stencil again!! I LOVE how VERSATILE Stencils are and I'm always trying to use them in other ways for my Projects!! 

I started by placing the Bold Trellis Stencil over my Cardbase that I sprayed with Pixie Spray!! I also used alittle Purple Tape just to make sure it stayed in place!! Then I applied a thin coat of the Deco FOil Transfer Gel using my Stencil Pal!! Then I removed the Purple Tape and the Stencil and set it aside to Dry!! 

Once it was Dry I placed the Rainbow Shattered Deco Foil over the Transfer Gel and ran it through the Laminating Machine!! Remove the Foil backing Sheet and SWOON!! Not only is there dimension, but there is some BEAUTIFUL Shine!! 

I then realigned the Pattern and Replaced the Bold Trellis Stencil over my Cardbase and Inked the Design again using Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar to Ink the stencil again!! I LOVE that you can layer the Design and it adds SO MUCH dimension by using different mediums together!! 

I finished my Card Design with the sentiment "You Are" that I Stamped and Embossed from the Bomb Diggity Stamp Set!! Then I adhered the Circle Die Cuts together one on top of the other Inking the Top one with Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink for an Ombre` look to tie in with the Inking on the Cardbase!! I added some Large Iridescent Jewels to the center of all of the Foiled Flowers and then I adhered the Layered Circle Sentiment to my card using Foam Tape!! I LOVE the way it turned out!!

Colorful Embossing on Dark Cardstock

Happy Saturday!! Nora here from A Creative Touch on the blog today with a birthday card that uses a ton of embossing. 

I am going to confess that I have a love/hate relationship with embossing. No matter how hard I try, I get powder EVERYWHERE. However, over the years, I have accumulated a ton of different embossing powders so I decided to try something new for me-embossing on black cardstock.

Stamps: WTF 2 and Bomb Diggity

I started off this card stamping the number 50 from the WTF 2 stamp set onto black cardstock and  heat embossing each in a bright colored, opaque embossing powder. Don't have colored embossing powder? This could also be done with any metallic-gold, silver, copper-and look just as fabulous.

I adhered the piece of black cardstock to a white, A2, top folding card front. I stamped the "fabulous" sentiment using Bomb Diggity onto white cardstock and heat embossed it with black embossing powder. I then fussy cut it for more emphasis. I kind of played with it on the black background and decided I needed something more for it to pop. I wound up cutting strips of rainbow colored paper scraps and adhered them to the bottom of the card front. 

I then adhered a hash tag sticker and popped up "fabulous" with foam adhesive. 

All my friends are turning fifty this year so I am going to make a bunch of these cards to send out. It was easy and fast to create and I think, packs a punch.

Larissa here today to share a BEAUTIFUL Floral Card!! 

I'm LONGING for SPRING!! We've still been getting snow and I want Flowers!! So for my Card I decided to use the BEAUTIFUL Pretty Posie Stamp Set and the coordinating Posies Fri Dies along with the Sentiment from the Bomb Diggity Stamp Set!! 

I Stamped and Embossed all of the Images and colored them with Copic Markers and then added some Tonic Studios Aqua Shimmer Pen along with some Morning Dew Nuvo Drops to the center of the Flowers!! For the Base of my Card I used a Stencil to create the Blue Pattern with some Stormy Sky Distress Ink and then added some Black Soot Distress Paint Splatters and some Tonic Studio Glitter Pen Splatters for some extra Sparkle!! I Stamped and Embossed the You are.. Sentiment onto a Small Heart Die Cut using Cranberry and Ballet Slipper Lawn Fawn Inks for an Ombre` look and Embossed it using some WoW Neutral Shimmer Glitter Embossing Powder!! Then added it along with the Colored Pretty Posie Images to the Front of the Card using foam tape to add some Dimension to the Flowers and Layered Heart!! I left the Leaves more flat using Liquid Glue to adhere them directly to the cardbase!!  

A few Studio Katia Iridescent Drops finish it off!! 

For the inside of the Card I Stamped and Embossed the Fabulous Sentiment using Cranberry and Ballet Slipper Lawn Fawn Inks for an Ombre` look and Embossed it using some WoW Neutral Shimmer Glitter Embossing Powder!! 

I hope this gets you in the MOOD for Spring Flowers too, and maybe makes you feel the warmth of the Sun rather than that Cold Snow of Winter!!??

You Are Fabulous!! A Simple and Feminine Card Design!!

Hello Crafty Friends!! 

Larissa here today with a BEAUTIFUL Card for a LOT of occasions!! 

I LOVE the Feminine Feel, but its also a Super Simple Design and that means you can make several to have on hand for any reason that might come up!! Lets get started!!  

First Stamp the Full on Floral Stamp onto an A2 Size Card Base using Kraft Ink!! I LOVE the subtle color for this BUSY Background Image!! Then I taped off the left hand Side and splattered some Black Distress Paint for some Texture!! I also knew I wanted to used some Milled Lavender Distress Ink so I also added some Milled Lavender Splatters to the Background!! 

I Stamped and Embossing the TuTu Image using some Versa Mark Ink and some WoW Embossing Fool's Gold Glitter Powder!! Its SO BEAUTIFUL in real life!! It's Gold Embossing Powder with a Pretty Mauve Pink Glitter!! I used the coordinating Ballerina Fri Dies to Die Cut it out!!

I Die Cut a Circle and inked it using the Milled Lavender Distress Ink and added some Water Droplets for some Texture!! Next I Stamped and Embossed the Fabulous from the Bomb Diggity Set using Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and Clear WoW Embossing Powder!! I Stamped the bottom of the Inked Circle too so that the Ballerina would be Twirling on the "L"!! I adhered the TuTu Image using 3D Foam Squares!! Then I Stamped and Embossed the Words You Are from the Love Notes Set onto a Kraft Banner using WoW Embossing Powder in White!! 

A few Pretty Pink Posh Pansy Purple Jewels finish off the design!!

How to Paper Piece a Birdie Baby Card!!

Hello Crafty Friends!! 

Larissa here today to share a SWEET Paper Pieced Baby Card!! I just LOVE the Little Birdies Stamp Set and wanted to show how you can Paper Piece this Image, even though its a single image!! 

I Started by choosing my Patterned Papers!! I find its easier for me to choose Patterns if I pick them from a 6x6 Paper Pad!! Most of the time you're insured that the Colors and Patterns will all work well together!! I'm using Papers from the Simple Stories 6x8 Oh Baby Collection!! 

I LOVE the Pastel Colors!! I chose 5 different Patterns!! The Grey Text for the Background, The Rulers for the Border and three different Patterns for the Birdies!! I Stamped and Embossed the Images onto each of the Patterns placing the Images on the Pattern where I wanted the Designs to be!! Then I Fussy Cut the Images out!! If you're careful while doing this you could create 3 Cards with the extra Birdies, just rotating how the Patterns would Layer!! 

Then I Die Cut a White Cardstock Piece using the coordinating Birdies Fri-Die and layered the Patterned Birdies onto the White Cardstock Die Cut for the Outline Layer!! If you didn't want a White Cardstock Layer, you could also Stamp your Little Birdies Image straight onto your Cardbase and then Adhere the Patterned Little Birdies on top of the Images lining them up for a One Layer Card Design!! I personally LOVE the Dimension!! 

I wanted some Texture for my Background so used some Scattered Straw Distress Inks to Ink a Sunscape Stencil Design and then I Stamped the Small Flower from the  Best Day Ever Stamp Set using some Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink!! Then I used the Small Paint Splatter Image from the Bomb Diggity Stamp Set to stamp some Leaves using some Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Ink!! Some Black Diamond ColoriQue Ink Splatters were added to finish off the Design!! I added some Studio Katia Iridescent Crystals to the center of the Flowers and  I Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment from the Little Birdies Stamp Set to ground my Images!! 

I LOVE the Way it turned out and think this makes a SWEET Baby Card or Birthday Card!!
