You Got Rescued - A Pawesome Shaker

Hello!  Welcome back!  I created a shaker for today.
My background was created with the Chunky Chevron stencil on my gel press with Distress Oxides.

I created a simple shaker using some Hexagon dies and some pretty colorful sequins that coordinated with the colors on the card and added pawprints I created with the Pawesome Stencil, Distress Oxides and Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel.

Finally a sentiment from Nate & Friday and done!

Masked and stenciled Backgrounds.

Hello, it's Michelle here today sharing two cards I made with some fun masked and stenciled backgrounds.

I made a mask by die cutting a circle from a piece of card stock.   I placed that over a another piece of card stock and ink blended some Catherine Pooler ink.  I left the mask in place, placed the stencil over the top and ink blended a darker shade of ink.  These would look great using different shapes too.
I stamped the cute Boston Terrier from the Nate & Friday stamp set and cut him out using my scan n cut.  How adorable is that face!
My first card is using the Falling Leaves stencil.

I used the Bubbly Stencil for my second card.

Life is Better

Welcome back!  Today I'm sharing a card I created using the negative foil sheet from the last time!  This month I've been sharing cards using the Pawesome Stencil and Nate and Friday Stamp Set!

I started by applying some black glossy texture past through the Love part of the stencil.  I masked the paw that makes the "O"  because I new I wanted to do it in a different color.  I set it aside to dry.

I worked on a few other things while waiting for it to dry because I knew I'd be laying the stencil over that area again and didn't want to smear the black onto the cardstock.  Once it was dry, I applied some Neon Electro Pop Glitz through the paw portion of the Love stenciled area.

Then I grabbed that foil negative piece from last time and laid it on top of a piece of black toner paper.  The dull part of the foil should make contact with the toner paper because that is what it sticks to.  When I first started using foil it seemed backwards...lol... but after a while it came naturally and of course it makes sense, but it did take my brain a while to work that out,.

So, the negative areas let the black toner paper show through!  Cool, right?  When the Love layer was dry, I die cut it using a square die from my stash and then layered it and the base onto black and then the base onto a piece of white.

I stamped one of the pups again and trimmed him down.  Stamped that sweet sentiment and trimmed it and then popped everything up on to the rainbow foiled base sliding my pup under the sentiment so he was peeking out.

I love using my foil this way because there is no waste!  And there are lots of fun ways to use your negative pieces ... this is just one of them and I'll share another with you in September.

That's me for today!  Thanks so much for stopping!  I hope you enjoyed it and you'll come again soon!

A Good Place

Hello!  I've got some more pup fun for you today!  This month I'm going to be sharing cards using the Pawesome Stencil and Nate and Friday Stamp Set!

I started by using my Misti to stamp Nate & Friday in Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink so I could easily stamp multiple times to get a really good solid image.  Then I fussy cut them out and set them aside.

Then I used the Pawesome Stencil to add the larger paw print cluster to the two corners of the card with Deco Foil Transfer Gel.

Then I used a paint brush to splatter some Ranger Distress Resist Spray over the top of the panel and set it aside to dry.

I worked on a few other things (you'll see some of this later) while waiting for the panel to dry.  Finally, I ran it through the Minc with some Summer Rainbow Deco Foil... and I saved that cool negative sheet for later!

I stamped another sentiment in black on white cardstock and then cut it into a strip.

I layered my base panels with a 1/16" and then popped up my images and sentiment over the top.  Don't you just love that Rainbow Splatter???

\Finally added a few sequins and I was done!

Thanks so much for stopping and I hope you'll come again soon!  Check in with me next time and I'll be using that cool negative sheet leftover from today!

You Got Rescued

Welcome back!  I can't believe it's August already!  This month I'm going to be sharing cards using the Pawesome Stencil and Nate and Friday Stamp Set!

For this one, I started by using some black gloss embossing paste and the heart with the paw in the center and applied it to a scrap piece of card stock.  Then I added some Black Glitter Embossing Powder and heated it.  Finally I fussy cut around the heart and set it aside.

Next I grabbed a base panel and used the stencil again with some Distress Oxide Inks in Yellow, Pink and Orange, blending each over the ones next to them just a bit.  Then I wiped off the stencil and applied some clear embossing past through the same stencil to give it some shine and dimension.  I set it aside to dry and stamped the sentiment onto black paper with Versamark and heat embossed it in white.  Finally I cut the sentiment into a strip.

I matted the panel onto black and then white with a 1/16" border and added a white border to the sentiment strip.  Finally, I popped the black outlined heart over the center of the rainbow paw heart and popped the sentiment up below it.  A few sequins and done!

That's me for today!  These two pet themed products are perfect together!  I'll be back again with more of these two!  Next time we'll be playing with foil!

Wishing You Puppy Butt Wiggles!

There is nothing better than coming home to butt wiggles in my opinion!  I had some fun with the pupp themed products from the shop and started with the Pawesome Stencil!

I love all of the different components of this stencil and decided to create a path of rainbow paws on the slimline panel cut using the Pinked Slimline Dies.  When I only want to use a part of a stencil, I like to use some washi tape to mask off any stencil components that are close by but I don't want to get any ink in that area.

I also clean off the stencil in between colors so as not to get my ink pad colors contaminated and I have a separate brush for yellows, pinks, purples, blues, etc.    I label each of my brushes so I know which is which.

It was fun to use a part of the rainbow from the Rainbow Bridge set as an embellishment on one end of this slimline!  I had stamped and colored it previously but it wasn't working on that project yet it was perfect for this one after I trimmed off the largest semi circle.

Also, I added a layer of black in between the two die cut slimline panels to balance out all of the black in the other elements of the card.

And the pups from the Nate & Friday set along with that sentiment were just right to send to a friend with fur babies!  Sometimes when I don't want to hide too much of my background, I love to stamp and then cut my sentiments into strips... I love the look and love that it takes up a little less real estate on my card.

That's me for today!  I hope you enjoyed it!  If you saw something here today that you must have, I have this for you:

Also there is a great sale going on in the Retiring section of the shop and no code needed so you can use the above code as well!  You really need to check it out for a chance to get some great items at a deep discount!
