I Just Love You!!

Hi everybody!! I can't believe its February already, feels like we've just had Christmas and already over a month has gone by. We are having an incredibly hot Summer in New Zealand (especially where I live in Blenheim) so its been hard to work in the garden, craft or do anything really apart from swim. Thank goodness for the school pool round the corner!

I've got a card to share with you today which would be great for Valentines Day or maybe just to give to a friend or loved one because they are so fabulous:

Looks can be deceiving as this is quite a flat card:

And now for the grand reveal:

Did you expect it to open like that?? This is what it looks like completely open:

This took FOREVER to put together with all the die-cutting details using the 'Lovely Link Fri-dies' and the sentiment on the outside (from 'Heartfelt Sayings') helps to open the card, with another message on the inside. I'm so happy this idea worked and for all the details on how I put this together, pop over to my blog Twine Around.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope I've inspired you to try out this different card design and I'll see you back here later this month with some more ideas.

Take care
Shona

Merry Christmas and Merry Kiss-Mas Cards

Hello my crafty friends.  Maria here with you and I am back with this "mostly" die-cuts Christmas card, showcasing the Jumping Jacks Fri-Dies, Lovely Links Fri-Dies, Merry Christmas Fri-Dies, Mistletoe Fri-Dies and the Mistletoe & Holly stamp set.

I stamped and colored the mistletoe image and used the coordinating die to die-cut the image.  I die-cut another piece of metallic red bow to adhere to my mistletoe.

I used the lovely links die to die-cut 8 pieces on white card stock and adhered these pieces on my card base.  I also die-cut the Merry Christmas sentiment using the metallic red card stock.  Here's my card:

To finish my design, I used the Jumping Jacks Fri-dies to die-cut three pieces on some white glittered card stock, and adhered them onto my card.  Here's a little close-up:

And here are more cards I made with the Mistletoe & Holly stamp set.

Here's a little close-up:

Everything is going to be Fantastic!

Happy Friday!

I don't know about you but I am soooo ready for the weekend!
Jeanne created a sunny card to start off our weekend and the sentiment could not be more perfect.

She used a great sentiment from our Truth Is stamp set, and awesome die cuts from Lovely Links Fri-Dies. Don't the enamel dots placed in the link centers look great? Such a fun way to dress up these pretty border dies.

Guess what??? Truth Is is back in stock!!
So is Mon Ami and Lovely Greetings!!
And Bring On The Snowflakes!!
I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Happy Tuesday!!

I absolutely adore Jeanne's colorful style. Check out this delightful card she stamped!

She stamped Modern Petals a few times in 4 different colors.
What a fabulous background that made!!
Then, she stamped a second background panel with Wallflower and added a sentiment from the same set. It looks really sweet nestled inside Funky Square Tags.
Did you notice how she hung that tag? She used Lovely Links Fri-Dies and added Nuvo drops to create enamel dots.

If you'd like to add Wallflower to your collection, you better hurry! It is one of the 19 sets that is retiring. They are all specially priced in the Retiring category, but once they are gone...they are gone forever. These retiring sets will not be re-ordered.

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Shenanigans: 1 panel, many looks!

Happy Tuesday!

I don't think there is a person on the planet who wouldn't like to receive a b-day card with a sentiment like this one...

Wanna see a whole bunch of  awesome things this sentiment panel can do? Hold on to your socks!!!
Kelly made a dozen of these sentiment panels, and then paired them up with patterned papers and embellishments to create a set of a dozen birthday cards.
The sentiment panel uses Shenanigans, Calm and Gentle, Mon Ami.
She added more awesome sets to this cool panel to vary the look for the type so you'll get to see lots of CAS-ual Fridays goodness in this post! Buckle up peeps, here we go!

Have you seen our Lovely Links Fri-Dies? It is so pretty, lovely really, and one of the fun facts about it is that it cuts out more than a dozen little hearts to use on other projects all in one cut! Isn't that lovely?!

A little striped paper, a little strip of glitter, a lot of look in a simple but super fun card!

You don't always have to put the cute sentiment panel at the bottom, put some fun paper on the card base, add a few fun elements and stick that bad boy at the top!

Ok, now that paper is just darned cute! I love how she handwrote the amazing into the crossword puzzle :)

This one might be my favorite! I love the cute leaves from Acorn Fri-Dies strung onto the Linked Fri-Dies cut. So fun!!

Oh...but I really love this one too! I am a sucker for a pretty ribbon tied onto a card!

There is that Lovely Links Fri-Die again! This time she added darling die cuts from Posies and Friendly Flowers Fri-Dies and stamped them with Pretty Posies and Girlfriend, and then added a glitter paper die cut from Casual Trees Fri-Dies. (Don't tell the other cards, but I think this one might actually be my fav!)

Um, ya...this is super cute too! I love that she took a big ol star from Stars Fri-Dies and stamped it with Twinkle. Cute!!

another cute but simple card using Linked Fri-Dies and a fun pattern paper!

Friendly Flowers on Flurry Fri-Dies? Yes Please!!!!

So as you can see, there are all kinds of Shenanigans you can create for birthday fun using one great sentiment panel and then challenging yourself to use some fun papers that you've been hoarding, oops! I mean saving for the perfect project!

How many birthday cards do you have in your card stash right now? Probably not enough, LOL!

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

August 8

Happy Monday!

How about a project with no stamps?
And almost no ink??
Girl Friday Lisa created a to die for project today.

Here's what she had to say...
Created my own coverplate look with the Lovely Link Fridies and patterned paper.
The sentiment is from the Love Ya Fri dies, die cut 4 times adding some silver to the bottom section with a marker. Finally I pulled out some die cut trees in my scrap pile from the CASual Trees Fri dies that I had used on this month's Callin' All Sistahs Blog Hop project.

Fabulous!
I'll bet she'll figure out something fun to do with all those little heart cut outs at some point :)

We've got a few things on sale this week.
Why?
Why not?!
Come on over and check out our Sale category :)

Happy Friday!!

Girl Friday Virginia is here with two awesome projects using our
Lovely Links Fri-Dies and Lovely Greetings.
She calls them:
One border die, two colorful ways!

Oh gosh, these cards are both so great!
Check out the cool techniques she used to create them.

For card #1, I created a colorful paper with water-colors with Peerless

I used a pattern paper for the base and created a vibrant background. Add the sentiment with black card stock, sequins and thread, this card is complete!

For card #2, I created a softer watercolor paper with Gelatos. I purposedly left the small hearts inside the dies as they add more colors and interest.

I stamped the sentiment with two colors (Teal/Mint and Black). Thus, it makes a stronger statement.

Thanks Virginia!
These are so pretty!!!

Happy Tuesday!

Virginia is going to knock your socks off with her 50 cent altered weekly journal!
She found this cool little planner at Michael's and yes, it was only 50 cents.

She liked all the cool pockets and thought she could dress this up into something pretty special.
Check out her step by step process...

1. Make die cut with Lovely Link Fri-Dies
2. Create the template with Bubble Box Fri-Die
3. Cut out a few Mon-Ami Fri-Dies

4. Emboss the title with CAS-ual Elegance
5. Stamp flowers with Lovely
6. Plan out the design and create a large flower with Mon Ami Fleur Fri-Die

7. Glue the finished stamped design with Glossy Accent
8. Sew the small flower for extra accent
9. Add Liquid Pearl and sequins for final touches

Lastly, the Bubble Fri-Die was added to personalize the planner.
(Before and after transformation)

Who knew that this planner only costs $0.50?

I think my favorite part is how she made the little Mon Ami Fleurs fan around like a pinwheel.
This is awesome!
Such a great reminder of how we can turn something ordinary into something extraordinary with a little bit of imagination, and a whole lot of fun!
