A Fresh Gel Print Using the Falling Leaves Stencil

Welcome back!  I've got another gel print today that I made with some acrylic paints and the Falling Leaves Stencil!

I decided a light and fresh color palette was perfect so I stamped and embossed the largest flower from the Mon Ami set in gold.  I used my Zig markers to add a little bit of color.  Then I die cut the breathe die from white glitter paper and twice more from white cardstock and stacked and adhered them together.  I popped the word die cut and flower onto the card and added a few sequins!

Thanks so much for stopping!  Hope you enjoyed it and you'll come again soon!  And should you feel like shopping, here's a discount code for you:

There is No Limit to Your Awesomeness

Hello everyone!! Nora here from A Creative Touch with a fun card using a color scheme that I love. I chose to mix the colors aqua and red to create a card that could be sent for any occasion.

I used the CAS-Fridays Mon Ami Stamp and Mon Ami Fleur Die set for my flowers and leaves.

I started off my card with an aqua, A2, top folding card. I stamped leaves from Mon Ami in the same colored ink as the card base in the bottom right side. I then used a score board to score my card front at each inch.

I stamped and heat embossed more leaves on white cardstock and vellum. On the vellum, I heat embossed  the leaves in white. I shaded the white leaves in with Copic Markers and cut all of the bunch out by hand. I then stamped one of the flowers from the Mon Ami Stamp Set in black and colored it in with some Copic Markers.

I used foam adhesive to layer a red, pinked circle that I die cut using the Pinked Slimline Dies over the stamped leaves.

I tucked some of the vellum and shaded blades under and over the red die cut. I adhered the flower over the circle, as well as a sentiment from the same stamp set that I had stamped on black cardstock and heat embossed with white.

My last step was to adhere some red sequins randomly around the card and fill in the top of the flower with some red Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Clean and Simple using Mon Ami

Hello, it's Michelle here today sharing a few clean and simple cards using the Mon Ami Stamp set.

It's no secret I love making CAS cards but sometimes I think maybe they are too CAS!  Is that possible!!   So I made a second one.

For my first card I stamped the flower and colored it in with alcohol markers.  I die cut it using the Mon Ami Fleur Die.  I stamped the sentiment and adhered the flower with foam tape.  I adhered the card panel onto a top folding card base with some more foam tape.   Now in my opinion that is a super CAS card.

For my second card I stepped it up a bit but still kept is fairly CAS.  This time I added some leaves to the stem and a little strip of striped paper along the bottom.  I also adhered three clear dew drops.

Here they are side by side.  Which do you prefer?

Big Wish

Hi all, it's Vicki here from All I Do Is Stamp. It's my last 2020 individual post for CAS-ual Fridays.  [However, I did accept Michele's offer to stay on another year!]  That said, there will be a fabulous New Release at month end! [You are going to love it!  I know I do]

As stated in my last post here, my Christmas cards were completed a couple of weeks ago.  Now, I am focusing on birthday cards.  My goal [once again] is to get them sent out on time for 2021.  I have the birthdays listed by month on a clipboard.  The first of the month, I will complete the card, address it, and have it ready to go.  It really can not be that hard to walk to the mailbox! [apparently for me it is! lol]

Meanwhile, for today's card I used Natasha Foote's video on Adding Color to Black Cardstock. I liked the look, and it was fairly easy to accomplish too.

Using the Modern Petals Stencil, I sponged on some white ink.  I tried to apply the ink with blending brushes AND ink sponges - neither worked.  I went and searched for [and found] the same make up foams that Natasha used, and they worked perfectly!  I was able to get a nice even coverage of the ink.  Once the white ink was dried, I moved the stencil just a bit, and sponged on some Catherine Pooler Ink in green and blue.  I like the shadow effect, and the way it shows up on the black.

I went on to stamp the Wish Big sentiment from Bold Wishes, and then stamped, colored, and cut out the flowers from Mon Ami stamp set, and matching Mon Ami Fleur dies.  A few sequins were added, and this card is ready for my stash. 😀

That's it for me today.  Like I said earlier, the Team will be back on December 31st for the start of the new, fun release!

Meanwhile, remember, if you use my code, you can save 15% off your purchase [which also includes the Clearance Section!]

Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful Holiday Season!

What would I do without you??

Hi there everybody and welcome to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog! Its early Saturday morning for me here in New Zealand and I'm glad the week has finally finished, although I have lots to do over the next two days. The weather is looking fantastic, so hopefully when the weekend arrives for you, you too will have lots of sunshine!

I've got a card to share with you today using lots of cool blues and mint/turquoise colours. I find these the most calming and relaxing, and after the week I've had, working with these hues helped me to slow down a little. I totally admit that I find it very hard to stop, let alone sit down and its something I really need to work on before my body stops on its own....:

I just love that even though these dies and the floral stamp set are older, they still bring me so much joy and I can still find so many ways to use them. That shows what fantastic designs they are and are 'classics' in my stash.

I used the Casual Trees and Bubble Box Fri-Dies along with the Mon Ami and Terrific Flowers stamp sets. It makes me so excited when I can get so many different products on one card! To find out how I put this all together you can pop over to my blog HERE.

I used up lots of cardstock scraps when making this card and hopefully it gives you a few ideas on how to use your stock-pile, which we all seem to have.... Enjoy your weekend and I'll see you back here next month with some more card making ideas.

Take care
Shona

Adding detail to stencils

Hello, it's Michelle here today from Seashell Creations.
I've been playing with the Modern Petals stencil today.  I love adding detail to stencils using alcohol markers.  I have two cards to share with you because I couldn't decide which I liked best!
Which one do you prefer, the colored in flower or not?

I started by stenciling some distress inks onto a card panel.

After I removed the stencil , I went over lightly with some more ink to take the stark white away.

Then I took three different shades of alcohol markers and added some detail to the center of some of the petals.  I added a dot in the middle using a white gel pen.

I die cut my panel using a stitched rectangle die and added a flower from Mon Ami stamp set.
