A Fresh Gel Print Using the Falling Leaves Stencil

Welcome back!  I've got another gel print today that I made with some acrylic paints and the Falling Leaves Stencil!

I decided a light and fresh color palette was perfect so I stamped and embossed the largest flower from the Mon Ami set in gold.  I used my Zig markers to add a little bit of color.  Then I die cut the breathe die from white glitter paper and twice more from white cardstock and stacked and adhered them together.  I popped the word die cut and flower onto the card and added a few sequins!

Thanks so much for stopping!  Hope you enjoyed it and you'll come again soon!  And should you feel like shopping, here's a discount code for you:

Coffee Makes Things Okayer and the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome back!  I've got some more coffee for you today!  The Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is still going on and today is Day 6!  CAS-ual Fridays Stamps is a Sponsor!

I started this one with a gel press background ... it was grungy and I decided to bling it up with some glitter paste!  The By The Beans stencil was perfect!

I cut one of my favorite cups from another piece of gel press print that I made with the Chunky Chevron stencil.  I stamped and fussy cut the sentiment from the Cup of Coffee Stamp Set and popped it up onto the cup and then popped the cup onto the card.  I embellished with some glittery hearts and foliage from my stash.

Finally, I cut my favorite word die (Breathe) from black glitter paper and popped that up at the top of the card.  It's a great reminder!

That's me for today!  Now, don't forget to play along over at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog for your chances to win some great prizes!  You can find all of the details and the linkup here!

Also, check out all of the great caffeinated products in the shop and you'll find lots of stuff on sale here!

Breathe - We'll Get Through This Together!

Welcome back!  It's October and Breast Cancer Awareness month and also CAS-ual Friday Stamps birthday month!  We'll be sharing cards of hope and birthday wishes this month and I'm starting with this one... a card to let a friend know you're there for them.

I started by adding some pink clouds to a white cardstock panel using the Partly Cloudy stencil.

When the panel was filled up with clouds, I splattered some water and soaked up the extra water and then splattered some gold color shine over the top.  I layered the cloudy panel onto a pink base and then layered the two onto a white base.

Then I added some Glitz Glitter Gel through the Love Ribbon Stencil onto pink cardstock and when it was dry, I fussy cut it out.

I layered the ribbon onto the cloudy panel with foam tape and then cut the Breathe from white glitter paper using the Just Breathe die set and then twice more from white cardstock; stacked them together and popped them up over the ribbon.

Finally I stamped the sentiment from the Heart Ribbon Stamp set onto pink cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed it with White embossing powder.  A few sequins and done!

Thanks so much for stopping and hope you enjoyed it!  Come back soon for more CAS-ual Fridays Stamps inspiration!

Breast Cancer Awareness - My Story!

Hi everyone, it’s Michelle here today sharing a card I made for Breast Cancer Awareness month!

I am living proof of the importance of regular breast checks!  In October 2019 I got the news that threw me for six.  I had my regular mammogram which I was two months late having as I had been away and just put it off until after my holiday.  They found something that hadn’t been there in previous mammograms and called me back in to investigate. This certainly saved my life and long story short it was early stage but the very aggressive type.  I spent the next 9 months having treatment and so far so good!  Sadly I lost my sister to breast cancer in 2004 hence the regular mammograms.
I hope my story encourages you to have regular checks.
Early detection is the key and can save your life!

Now on to my card!  I used the Love Ribbon stencil with Catherine Pooler inks.  While the stencil was still in place I added some glitter paste which gave the little hearts some dimension and sparkle.
I die cut the “Just Breathe”  in white and black card stock and adhered them together to give that shadow effect.  I then adhered to the stenciled piece using liquid adhesive.

Thanks for visiting today and if you're interested in purchasing the Love Ribbon Stencil or any other products you can click the "let's go shopping" link below to take you over to the shop!

Full On Floral With An Alcohol Lift

Welcome back!  I'm playing with some Alcohol Ink and Alcohol-Lift Ink!

I started with some EVO paper and splattered on Ranger Alcohol Inks in Raspberry, Eggplant and Aqua and then some Blending Solution.  I moved the inks around using the Hand Blower and added a little ink here and a little blender there until I was happy with the look.  I let it dry while cutting the other elements such as the heart window panel and flowers from the Four Petals dies.

When the panel was dry, I placed it in the Misti and used a freshly inked Alcohol Lift-Ink pad to link it up and stamp the Full On Floral stamp onto it.  I did leave the image down on the inked panel for about half a minute.  I inked the stamp up again and restamped one more time before I was finished.

When you first lift up the stamp you can very lightly see the image on the panel.  I took a paper towel and buffed the image lightly.

As you buff and the ink is moved away, the image starts to appear leaving a ghost of your image in the ink.

I cut the panel down to fit in the heart window I had cut previously.  The heart was adhered to the base so that it would fit in the window and the window panel was popped up over it.  The Breathe word die from the Just Breathe Dies was cut three times... once from some of the leftover inked panel and two more from some purple cardstock... and then stacked together.  It was adhered to the edge of the heart window.

I added the flowers made by layering the two sizes of Four Petals die cuts and added a gem to the center.  Finally I stamped a little "hang in there" sentiment from Somebunny onto the bottom corner (should have done that while it was flat, but it was a last minute decision to stamp it directly onto the panel and using the Misti it was easy peasy!

And that's me for today!  I hadn't played with the Alcohol Lift in a while, but this month I'm using lots of alcohol inks in my projects and thought it was time to pull it out.

Thanks for stopping and hope you'll come again soon for more CAS-ual Fridays Stamps inspiration!

Just Breathe

Hi All - Vicki here today.  I'm winding down this year with the 2nd to last post for CAS-ual Fridays 2019.  [Don't get me wrong, I'm staying on the Design Team] There again, the year has flown, and I do love creating with Michele's images!

I used one of my most favorite sets, Pretty Posies [with matching dies], along with Yana Smakula's technique of coloring the background with a black Copic!  [I do rather love this look].

While she used a colored card stock, I just used white and colored everything with Copics.  I cut out the Just Because Fri-Die out of a sponged colored card panel.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  I know I had a great time making it. :)

Feel free to use my code to save 15% off any CFS purchase [even the 50% off the retiring products!]

Thanks for stopping by~

Aaaah... Everything Is Okayer Now

Lisa here!  The Spring/Summer 2019 Coffee Lover's Blog Hop is still going strong and CAS-ual Fridays is a Super Sponsor once again!  Just create something new using a Coffee, Tea or Cocoa and Spring/Summer theme (i.e. no Santa, snowflakes, Fall leaves or Halloween...lol!) and link it up for your chance to win prizes!  You can create as many new projects as you like as long as they follow the themes!

We're celebrating here at CAS-ual Fridays and all week we're featuring some of the awesome Caffeinated Beverage themed images and dies in the CFS shop here!  And guess what!  You can get those items on sale right now!  No code needed... they're all 20% off!  At the end of this post I'll tell you how you can save even more!

Here's how I was inspired:

Remember last time I made two backgrounds using the Starlequin Stencil and only used one?  Well, this time around I decided it was time to get the other one on a card!  I've used it today since it has such a bright and springy feeling.

I have a lot of Coffee Cup dies in my crafty collection, but this Coffee Cup Fri-Die is by far one of my very favorites!  I just love the size of it and that so sweet heart shaped handle!!  I also love that the coffee cuts out separately so I can color it easily in a coffee (or tea or cocoa) color.

I stamped that awesome sentiment from the Cup of Coffee stamp set onto the cup in Versamark and heat embossed it in green.  Then I die cut the leaves from the Garden Fri-Dies from some previously watercolored paper and added them and some pre-made paper flowers around the cup.

I added the breathe die from the Just Breathe Fri-Dies in similar colors so that you'd see it, but it wouldn't be the focus... just a very quiet reminder to a friend that's going through a rough patch to take a few moments and just be... it's not quite an eclipse, but we'll touch on those the next time!

And there you have it!  A few sequins as steam and it's ready to pop in the mail.  When's the last time you actually mailed a card you made?  I'm a slow mailer and it's a struggle to get to a post office, but I love to send out my cards and will head there this week!  I'm challenging you to get a few out in the mail this week too!  And I'm challenging you to create something Coffee, Tea or Cocoa and link it up over at the Coffee Hop!

If I've inspired you today and you decide there is something you need to have, you can use this to get a discount on both sale and regular priced products.  Just use this code to get an extra 15% off!  And you don't have to use mine... all of the Girls Friday have one and you can use the code for who inspires you!

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you'll take a moment to have a cup of whatever makes you happy and Just Breathe!
