Time To Celebrate!

Hello!  I hope you are able to enjoy some fun this holiday weekend!  I'm spending time with family and thought I'd make a red, white and blue card to honor the 4th.  I thought the Jacks Stencil would make a perfect background for this one!

I placed the Jacks stencil over a die cut panel and blended in some Festive Berries Distress Ink to just a section of the panel.

I wiped off the stencil and then blended some Tumbled Glass in other areas careful to leave a bit of white space.

I wiped off the stencil again and then used a spatula to apply some Glitz Glitter Gel through the entire stencil.

Voila!  So pretty, right??  I set this aside to dry.

While the background was drying, I stamped the Celebrate from the Sassy Celebration stamp set onto white cardstock using Catherine Pooler Suede Shoes ink.  Before removing it from my Misti, I stamped it again with some Versamark and heat embossed it with Wow Clear Gloss Embossing Powder.  Then I did the same with the rest of the sentiment in Samba.  I fussy cut the Celebrate and trimmed the rest down into a rectangle and added a blue layer to outline it.

Next I cut the glass from the Champagne Flute from white glitter paper and the star from the Slimline Pinked set from blue foiled paper.

When the stenciled layer was dry, I arranged everything using various thicknesses of foam tape and adhesive and layered it onto a blue and red base.

A Spooky Cute New Stamp Set!

Lisa here!  I'm sharing a card today using the new Spooky stamp set as well as Wow Glow In The Dark Embossing Powder... and a few other things.

I started with a panel of white cardstock cut using the stitched die from the Slimline Pinked Fri-Dies.  I ink blended the panel using Lucky Clover, Twisted Citron and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks.  Then I lightly stenciled on some of the Jacks from the Jacks Stencil.  I heated the panel with a heat gun to dry it and then set it aside while I cut my other layers for my base.

I wiped some anti-static powder over the inked panel and then I stamped the webs in the corners it in black ink.  I repositioned the stamp a little offset from the black web and I stamped over it again with the Wow Embossing Ink.  Then I sprinkled on some of the Glow In The Dark powder and heated it up.

I stamped a couple spiders directly onto the panel and then stamped the large spider and the BOO sentiment onto cardstock.  I colored the sentiment using Copic markers and cut out all of the stamped images.

Finally I popped up my images onto the card and added a few sequins!  And so cool how my webs glow in the dark:

Make your own balloon stencils with Fri-Dies

Hello, it's Michelle here from Seashell Creations with a few cards I made using some stencils.

 I started by making my balloon stencils using some clear acetate and the Ornament Tag Fri-Dies.  

 There are two sizes of circles in this die set which was perfect for the cards I had in mind.  After die cutting the circles I cut a little triangle piece out on the bottom of the balloon using scissors. You could also use card stock or copy paper if you don't have any acetate.    I sponged some ink,  left my stencil in place and laid the Jacks Stencil directly over the top and sponged a darker shade of ink over that.    I stamped the sentiments from Shenanigans in black ink directly over the top of my balloons.

A Multi-Medium Birthday Card

Hello there!  Lisa here!  If you like to play with different mediums this is the card for you! I I came across the Bubble Box layer with green and gold Alcohol Inks on it in my stash.  I had made it for a different project, but it wasn't right for that one.  Turns out it was perfect for this one and it set the tone for the rest of the card!

I used the Jacks stencil to blended some greens through it onto a white cardstock layer and then because my alcohol ink layer had gold in it I decided to add some Inka Gold randomly before removing the stencil.  Mine was dried up so when I use it I just add a little water to it and apply it with a sponge.  After that dried, I layered that onto my white base, then a vellum Bubble Box and then popped up the Alcohol Ink layer.

Finally I stamped the Happy Birthday in the same greens I used on the background and then without moving the stamped image in my Misti, I dabbed on some Ranger embossing ink that comes in a bottle with a dauber tip to the stamp set, stamped it over the ink stamped image and then used clear embossing powder over the top.  I got a kind of textured embossed look which I decided I liked because it kind of makes the  sentiment sparkle!  And then I cut it out and popped it up over the top.  I just added a few sequins and I was done!

A Masculine Happy Birthday Card

Hello everyone!! 

It is Nora here from A Creative Touch with a masculine themed birthday card using the Jacks Stencil, the new Happy Birthday stamp set and a sprinkle of stars using the Fun-Fetti Fri-dies.

I don't know about you but I have a heck of a time creating birthday cards with a masculine flair. For this card, I chose to use a technique using the Jacks Stencil with Indigo Color Burst. I thought the colors would be perfect for a masculine card.

I started off by putting Color Burst over my stencil and then liberally spritzing with water. I then took watercolor paper and placed it down on top of the stencil. When I lifted it up, I got this really cool pattern. I was actually able to dip two more watercolor papers onto the wet stencil to make THREE backgrounds. 

When my panel dried, I stamped Happy Birthday with Versamark ink and heat embossed over it with silver. I actually had to heat emboss the sentiment twice because even under the opaque silver powder, you could see the rich blue underneath after only one pass. 

I cut down the panel and layered it over a shiny piece of blue and silver cardstock. I then sprinkled silver star die cuts using the Fun-Fetti Fri-dies as an additional element to draw your eye through 

the card.

I love how this turned out and cannot wait to send it to my nephew who has turned twenty one

 this week!
