No Matter How Old...

Hello Crafty Friends!!

It is Nora here from A Creative Touch with a fun birthday card honoring CAS-ual Fridays NINTH Birthday!!!

Stamps Used: Frankly'isms

I started off this card by using using the Falling Leaves Stencil Distress Ink.

Instead of using it as a stencil, I added color to the actual stencil, spritzed it with water and then smooshed my paper onto the stencil. When it was dry, I added some stamping using the Frankly'ism stamp set.

I cut it down my stenciled panel and added it to purple, A2, top folding card base. I added some white circles under the my panel to create a partial "scallop" border that I had die cut using the Pinked Slimline Dies

I then stamped a sentiment from Frankly'ism on a white circle with purple ink.

I adhered it over a purple scalloped circle that I die cut using the Pinked Slimline Dies using foam adhesive.

I created an inner white panel to be adhered inside the card with a matching sentiment to the one on the front of my card.

My finishing touch was to adhere some sequins to the card front.

Celebrate with a Margarita

Happy Tuesday everyone!!! Nora here from A Creative Touch. I cannot believe that it is JUNE!!!

Today I am on the blog with a card that I created with the margarita glass from the Salty stamp set and a sentiment from the Sassy Celebrations set.

I started off this card by stamping the margarita glass with midnight ink onto a piece of kraft cardstock.

I colored in the drink with colored pencils and used Gamsol to blend the pencil.

Next I used a white gel pen to emphasize certain areas of my strawberry margarita.

I then added Stickles glitter glue over the sugar crystals and Glossy Accents to again emphasize areas
on the glass.

While the margarita was drying, I stamped the "celebrate" in with pink Distress Oxide onto a scrap of white cardstock. I heat embossed over it with WOW! Clear Gloss Super Fine Embossing Powder. I then fussy cut the sentiment out.

Now that all my pieces were complete, it was time to put the card together.
To begin, I adhered a scrap of pattern paper on the edge of a white, A2, top folding card base.

I cut a half inch off my kraft card front and adhered it over the white card base.

I used foam adhesive to adhere my sentiment toward the bottom of the drink and my card was complete. I have a particular friend I intend to send this card to.

A SImple Happy Birthday Card

Happy Wednesday!! Nora here from A Creative Touch on the blog today with a simple birthday card.

I decided that I wanted to use the new Flowery Background stamp and paired it with a sentiment from the Everyday Dragonflies stamp set.

I stamped the flowers onto a white rectangle with black ink. I then die cut the panel with a rectangle die and mounted it on an A2, top folding, aqua card base.

Originally I searched my stash for some aqua thread to add to my card front but I could not find any. Instead I used some silver thread to make a nest near the middle of the card.

I then adhered two of three white banners that I die cut using the Pinked Slimline die set.

On my third banner, I stamped a sentiment from the Everyday Dragonflies set and adhered it over the other two banners using foam adhesive.

I finished off my card by adding aqua colored gems randomly around my sentiment.

I hope you like my card today. It is an easy card to reproduce and stock your stash for upcoming birthdays! Remember to use my code NORASENTME to get 15% off your total order.

I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Have a FABULOUS day!!!

Birthday Shaker Card

Hello everyone! Maria here with you today and I am back to share yet another shaker card, showcasing the Somebunny Stamp set.  This is probably one of my all-time favorites from Cas-ual Fridays Stamps.

I started by stamping the image on some Neenah solar white card stock and colored it in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I used my precision snips to fussy-cut the image.

I wanted to use this super cute patterned paper that I have from my stash as my background.  This was cut measuring 5 1/2 by 4 1/4.  I adhered this panel on some A2-size notecard.

Next, I die-cut the starburst background panel using a die from my collection.  I adhered some acetate sheet on the back and added some foam tape to create my shaker well.  I added my iridescent sequins on top and adhered the sunburst panel to close my shaker.

I finished my design by adhering my focal image and adding the sentiment that was stamped and embossed with some white embossing powder.  Easy peasy!  Here's another look:
