Monochromatic Elegance

Hi everyone!!
Nora here from A Creative Touch on the blog today with a simple, monochromatic card using the Modern Petals Stencil (my FAVORITE!!!) and a sentiment from the Foxy stamp set.

I started off this card by creating the background with the Modern Petals stencil and Nuvo Crackled Mousse in Russian White.

I taped a piece of cream cardstock down on my craft sheet and then taped the stencil over it. I used a spatula to spread the mousse over the stencil like I was frosting a cake.

I had never used this medium before but I watched a couple tutorials on how to use this medium. I carefully took the stencil off the top but left the cardstock taped to my craft mat to dry for
twenty-four hours.

In my research, I found that if you didn't dry it taped to something stiff, the panel could roll up when drying. This doesn't hurt the panel in anyway but I wanted to prevent that from happening as
much as possible.

I die cut the dried panel, added some cream twine and used foam adhesive to adhere it to a top folding, A2 card base.

I added a sentiment that I stamped and heat embossed in gold, using the Foxy stamp set. I thought the font style and the gold went well with the muted colors I used for this card. I used foam adhesive to give the sentiment some emphasis.

I completed my card by adhering some cream and gold sequins randomly around the sentiment.

This card was really simple to create but there is an elegance to it with the monochromatic colors that I chose to use.

A Simple Thank You using Pretty Posies

Hi everyone!! Nora here from  A Creative Touch. I hope everyone is remaining happy and healthy during this unprecedented time. One of the things I have been trying to do is COLOR. It relieves stress and when I used stamped images, I can make cards with them when I want to.

Today I created a simple thank you card where the colored flowers from Pretty Posies are the
main event.

Stamps: Pretty Posies and Foxy

I began my card by stamping my flowers and a leaf from Pretty Posies with a Copic safe, black ink and then colored in my images using Copic markers. I never wound up coloring the leaf as I decided I was not going to need it for the design I had in mind.

My next step was to use the matching Posies Fri-dies to die cut each of the stamped images.

While I was die cutting, I also die cut a background out of gray cardstock using the Trellis Cover Die. I love this die because you can use it to emboss or as a die cut. It stayed together nicely so I decided to use it to emboss my cardstock. I then cut my embossed panel in half.

I then started fooling around with the stamped images to figure out what I wanted to use. When I found what looked good to me, I stamped my sentiment using the "thank you" from the Foxy stamp set.

I adhered the Trellis die cut down and the large flower over it. I then popped up the smaller flower using foam adhesive.

My last steps were to cover the flower centers with a bit of shimmer and add some purple rhinestones around the sentiment.

I hope this inspires you to dig out your blooms and make them the star of your card!!

I wanted to try a play on No-Line coloring with this image!! Isn't it AMAZING!!?? I decided to Stamp and Emboss the Image using Rose Gold Embossing Powder!! I LOVE how BEAUTIFUL it is and think it would look awesome just as an Embossed Image as well if you didn't want to color it!! I however wanted to color it in!! I used E11, E13 and E15 for the Main Fox Color and then used W0, W2 and W5 for the White parts on the Fox!! I used G40, G43, G46 for the Greenery and BV000, BV02 and BV13 for the Flowers!! I also colored around the Images with B0000 just to add some Color to make it POP off the background some!!
I really LOVE the way it turned out!!

I added some Yellow Jewels for the Center of the Flowers to add some Dimension and Sparkle!! Then Die Cut a Scalloped Layer from some Copper Metallic Cardstock!! I LOVE the way it makes the Fox Image POP!! I stamped and Embossed the Thinking of You sentiment using the same Rose Gold Embossing Powder on the inside of the Card!!

Foxy Thinking of You Card!!

HELLO CRAFTY FRIENDS!!
Larissa here today to share a BEAUTIFUL and Simple Card!!
I LOVE to Color, but some times I just want the image to be the MAIN Focus!!
Here's what I've created for today!!
I Stamped and Embossed the Fox Image from the Foxy Stamp Set onto some Distress Watercolor Paper!! I've used Copic Markers to color my Fox Image!!
(W00, YR27, E97 and E99)
Then I added some details with a White Gel Pen!!
I Fussy Cut the Fox out leaving a slight border!!

I Stamped and Embossed the entire Image again onto another piece of Distress Watercolor Paper!! Then Inked the background just behind the Fox using Tumbled Distress Ink!! I wanted to keep the FOCUS on the FOX Image, so I left everything else alone, except I added some Pretty Pink Posh Crystals to the Center of the Flowers!! Then added it to an Orange Cardstock Frame and a Kraft A2 Cardbase!!

I LOVE the way it turned out and think this design would be PERFECT for a Set of Cards to give as a Gift!! THANKS SO MUCH for stopping by and I hope you have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!!

A Foxy Card

Hi everyone -- Vicki here from All I Do Is Stamp. Today I have a foxy card, that is perfect for the guy in your life!

I absolutely love this fox!  He is so beautiful in detail.  Because of that detail, he is also very easy to color.  By my color choices, it also makes a wonderful masculine card.

After I colored him, I fussy cute him, and adhered him to my card.

That's it for me today.  Remember to use my code to save 15% off your purchase!

Thank you with Foxy

Hi everyone, hope your all having a fantastic week and you've had a chance to do some crafting. I've got a card for you today along with a tutorial with LOTS of photos, so get comfy, grab a drink and lets go!!

This is the card I created for you today using the Foxy stamp set and Bubble Box Fri-dies. It looks plain and muted until you tip it towards the light:

This is where the shine comes in from the vellum. I was actually trying out a new embossing powder at the same time as making this card and the shimmer was so good, it completely changed my card design......love it when that happens!!

To start off I stamped the fox image on Strathmore Bristol Smooth CS using VersaFine Claire pigment ink in 'Morning Mist'. I also heat embossed the same fox image on vellum using Hero Arts 'White Satin Pearl' embossing powder. I didn't want too much colour on the fox image, so only used three colours of Zig Real Color Brush Pens. I was really surprised that the ink didn't bleed at all, its fantastic for watercolouring!!

Once the painting was dry I cut a panel of grey CS the same size as my card base and die-cut the Bubble Box Fri-die from the middle of it. This photo also shows you what the VersaFine ink looks like.

Using a tiny amount of Gina K Connect Glue I glued the vellum piece directly over top of the image, making sure it lined up perfectly. I only glued around the outside edge as didn't want the vellum to pucker with the liquid glue.

I adhered the grey panel over top and then glued to the card base. Isn't the pearlescent shine just incredible!!

All I had to do then was heat emboss the 'thank you' (from the same Foxy set) in silver on a strip of the same grey CS, pop it up on foam tape and glue on some sequins from Neat and Tangled.

I really hope you like this design and maybe you'll be inspired to try something with vellum and heat embossing today. And don't forget that if your going to be doing some CAS-ual Fridays Stamps shopping, to use my special code to save yourself some money!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'm sure another Girl Friday will be here tomorrow to wow you with her incredible project!!

Take care
Shona
