Little Birdies with Maria

Hello CAS-ual Fridays fans!  Maria here on the blog with you today with this cute card, showcasing the Little Birdies stamp set and Birdies Fri-Dies.

Before I tell you how I made my project, I just wanted you all to know that there is a Christmas in July sale going on and the last day is tomorrow.   The Christmas items are already 40% off but if you use my coupon code below (MARIASENTME), you will get an additional 15% off.

To start, I die-cut the image on Neenah solar white card stock using the Birdies Fri-dies.  I did this because the die is a solid piece.  I used my stamping tool to stamp the image on the die-cut and colored my images in with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers.

I use a clouds stencil to add color on a piece of some Bristol smooth white card stock with two shades of blue distress oxide ink - Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean.  I used a die to die-cut the colored background and foam mounted the frame onto an A2 size card base.

I die-cut the branch and leaves using some dies from my stash and adhered the pieces on my foreground.

I finished my design by adding some Bubblegum Bliss Crystal Drops.  Here's a closer look:

I hope you like my project today.  Please visit CAS-ual Fridays Stamps  to purchase the stamp and dies that I featured today.  You can also visit my blog for further details including a full list of the supplies I used.  Don't forget to use my coupon code "MARIASENTME" for 15% off your order at CAS-ual Fridays.  Happy stamping!

One stencil- two ways

Hello my dear crafty friends! Welcome to my new April post made for CAS- ual Fridays blog.
Irit is here today and this time I am going to show a card made with one single new and just released stencil that was used in two different ways as the background and then on the main heart shaped image.

I used this lovely Bold Trellis stencil with two different mediums and as you see it looks totally different.
The background is made with Gel medium over the stencil that was positioned over white cardstock
Then the dry image was covered with a mist of Distress inks and wiped with a baby wipe to leave the white images that are glossy.

The inside heart was die cut from the stencilled black cardstock.
This time I used red glitter paste and the look is very glittery.

The sentiment was stamped over white cardstock and glued over the inked smaller heart.

This is the stencil used twice to make this card:

And the stamp set used :

Welcome Baby Card by Maria

Hello CAS-ual Fridays fans!  Maria here on the blog with you today.  I was recently asked by a neighbor (she just became a grandma) to create a Welcome Baby Boy card and of course,  I immediately thought of the Some Bunny stamp set.  Here's what it looks like:

CARD RECIPE:

  • Stamp the images on smooth white card stock and color them in with Copic markers or any coloring medium of your choice.
  • Use the coordinating dies to die-cut the images or fussy cut with your precision cut scissors.
  • On a piece of Bristol smooth white card stock, I inked up my background using some clouds stencil die with some dye inks, using the life-changing brushes.
  • I used a clouds border die with my embossing mat to create the clouds impression on my background.
  • I die-cut another piece of white card stock and adhered this piece on my colored background with some foam adhesive.
  • I inked up some white card stock and die-cut the words "Love you to the moon and back" using a die from my stash.
  • I used fun foam and liquid glue to adhere the sentiment strip on my card.
  • I adhered the stamped images onto my card.

To finish my design, I added some stardust stickles to the moon and stars.  Here's a closer look:

I thinks this stamp set is a must-have for any stampers.  You can use this set to create so many cards for any occasion.

I hope you like my card and got inspired to create something beautiful today!  Please don't forget to use my coupon code "MARIASENTME" for 15% off your order.  For further information including other supplies used, please visit my blog (www.mariarusselldesigns.com).  I hope you have an amazing weekend, and happy crafting!

Your inner sparkle card

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new CAS- ual Fridays post.
Today I am going to share my new lovely sparkle card  made with one single CAS- ual Fridays   stamp  and one CAS- ual Fridays matching die.
Lately I am in this glittery mood and unicorns are the best fit for the glitters and sparkles.

The background was made over the adhesive paper with a stencil. First the blue layer of glitter was added over the stencil and then the clear glitter was added on the rest of the adhesive paper with the stencil off the paper.
The unicorn was stamped and die cut with the matching die and then the background black die cut was glued for the shadow.

The sentiment was stamped with black permanent ink and then inked with pink mist over it.
I decided to add the flower cluster to make it even more sparkling and festive.

Here are the stamp and the die used to make this lovely card:

Galentine's Day Card

Hello my crafty friends.  Maria on the blog today.  I know by the time my post goes live, Valentine's Day would have already passed.  However, I've made this card for a girlfriend who needs a little cheering.  For my card today, I am showcasing the Supercalifragistic stamp set with the Garden Fri-Dies.

Heres how I made the card:

  • Ink up a Bristol smooth white card stock using Squeezed Lemonade and Worn Lipstick distress oxide inks.

  • Spray water all over the inked up background with the distress sprayer. Use paper towel to dab it dry.
  • Use hearts stencil to add more texture to the background with the same distress oxide inks for a seamless look.
  • Stamp the sentiment using the Supercalifragilistic stamp set. (I LOVE THIS STAMP SET!)

  • Die cut the window using a die from my (or you can use sticker if you don't have this die) and add the "ice cubes" and sequin mixes in the pouch.
  • Adhere the other die-cut elements to the colored background.
  • To finish the design, die cut the "LIME" on green card stock using the Garden Fri-Dies and adhered on top of the margarita glass using liquid glue.

I think adding the "lime" on the margarita glass using the Garden Fri-Dies just added a cute touch to the whole card design.   Here's a closer look:

I don't know about you but looking at this card makes me want to go out with my girlfriends and guzzle down some margaritas on the rocks, don't you?  The Supercalifragilistic stamp set is a must-have for any stamper!  Here's another look:

I hope you like my card today.  Please don't forget to use the coupon code "MARIASENTME" for 15% off your order at the shop.  Have an amazing day!

Unleash Your Sparkle

Hello lovelies! I am so over winter and ready for a little bit of sunshine and warmer weather; and I think I unconsciously used some light, bright colours when I made my card for today!

Stamp Set: Be A Unicorn. Dies: Unicorn Fri-Die.

I started with a white C6 card blank and blended three Distress Ink colours onto the front, varying the intensity of the colours a little.

With black ink, I stamped one of the sentiments from Be A Unicorn, directly into the left hand corner of the card. The sentiments stamp so well, with a nice juicy ink, that there's no need to use a Precision Press (but feel free if it makes you feel a little better about stamping directly onto the card!)

With the same ink, I stamped the unicorn onto some spare white card, then used the co-ordinating Unicorn Fri-Die to cut it out. It does this so much better than I could ever cut it by hand (so it's well worth investing in if you have the stamp set!)

I adhered the die-cut directly onto the card blank, leaving a little bit of the hair free from adhesive, so it looks like it's blowing in a soft, spring breeze! (See where my mind takes me?)

Then, to finish the card, I added a selection of little sparkles, to echo the sentiment and add a bit of dimension.

Best Ever Floral day

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new CAS- ual Fridays post.
Today I am going to share my new lovely floral card of a card made with one single CAS- ual Fridays  background stamp set and one CAS- ual Fridays die .
I know that it's a Winter around, but here in Israel it's a kind of a Spring and I was in this bright mood and this is how this card was born.

The background floral set was stamped with black pigmented ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Then I colored the floral background with watercolor markers.
Here are the CAS- ual Fridays products that I used to make this card:

And some more photos of this card:

The title was die cut and then covered with black embossing powder and I tried to leave the part of the title non covered as the shadow.

Black enamel drops were added as my flower centres all over the card.

See how easy it is to make this lovely floral card with just one great CAS- ual Fridays stamp set and one single die. You sure can change the floral colors and the title can be die cut from colored cardstock or painted in another color.
Hope that you like my  card and you still have time to buy yourself these gorgeous stamps from CAS- ual Fridays shop and even to use our  discounts.

See you in two weeks with another lovely card made with CAS- ual Fridays products.
