It Could Be Worse!

Welcome back!  I'm sharing a card today using a Gel Plate background panel that I created in a recent session!  Once I start playing and pulling prints it's really hard to stop!  It's faint but I used the Flowery Background stamp during this Gel Plate session and I love the texture it created!

And it's great to be able to pull them out later when you're not sure how to get started with a new project!  I saw this one and I knew right away what I wanted to do!

I stamped the large part of the sentiment in yellow using the Misti to be sure I'd get a nice solid image and then fussy cut it out and popped it up onto the card.  All that was left to do was stamp the second part of the sentiment in two different colors, trimmed it to a rectangle and popped it up as well!  A few sequins and done!  And fun!

I love this fun This Sucks sentiment set!  Looks like it's out of stock right now, but there are lots of fun and sassy sentiment in the shop and if you love this one you'll love them too!

And I have this for you should you need something from the shop!

Thanks so much and I hope you'll come again soon!

Mass Producing Cards

Hello my crafty friends! Maria here on the blog with you, with 3 simple cards that you can mass-produce, showcasing the This Sucks stamp set.

I have been receiving some requests to do simple cards with no "image-coloring" or "die-cutting" and thought that this stamp set would be perfect for the cards.  Besides, I think almost every sentiment on this stamp set is basically what I feel these days!  Here's an example:

First card - we were supposed to travel and see my mom and siblings for a family reunion.  We were also supposed to travel back to Egypt for a nice vacation with my daughter.  Both things didn't happen because of the "it shall not be named" virus!

Second card - I think I lost my crafting mojo so it has been difficult to craft these days.  I am just not feeling inspired.  I must have made a ton of cards this month that I just put in the trash!  They just weren't good enough.  Sometimes, I will just give up and call it a day!

Third card - a lot of my design team packages are stuck in New York for a few weeks now.   The only reason I receive from the shipper is that everything will be delayed because of the current virus.  There is no timeline on when they will ever get here and it is adding to my misery.  It's hard to craft when you don't have the things you need to complete a lot of projects.  I don't even know if swearing helps because I have been doing a lot of those and it's starting to scare my cat! haha!

Those are my cards today.   I apologize for being Miss Debbie Downer but I just really hope things will get back to normal soon.   I'm sure the rest of you feels the same way.

I hope you like the cards.  Please don't forget to use my coupon code "MARIASENTME" to get 15% off your order.  Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

Put An "Out of Order" Sticker On Your Forehead and Call It a Day

Maria here on the blog with you today sharing this humorous card, showcasing the 4x6 This Sucks stamp set with the Tin Roof Stencil and Jumping Jacks Fri-Dies.

To begin, I used a patterned paper from my stash and stuck this panel on my mat with some removable tape.  I used Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet distress oxide inks with the Tin Roof stencil to add more interest to the background.  I set this piece aside to dry for about half an hour.

I used my powder bag to remove static on the card panel and stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink.  I sprinkled white embossing powder and heat-set this piece with my heating tool.  I adhered this panel on an A2 size side-fold card base.

I die-cut two decorative borders using a die from my stash and foam-mounted the pieces on my card.  I finished my design by die-cutting the Jumping Jacks Fri-Dies on some white card stock and adhered them with liquid glue.  I added some iridescent jewels to further adorn the card.  Here's what it looks like:

This card will definitely cheer someone who is having a bad day!

I hope you like my project today and got inspired.  Please don't forget to use my coupon code below to get 15% off your order.  Have an amazing day and happy stamping!

This Sucks "well that didn't go as planned" ~ Life!!

Hello Crafty Friends!!
Larissa here today to share an Encouragement Card!! I LOVE creating Cards like this, to send when I KNOW someone Special needs a Pick me up!!
I Started by creating the Stenciled and Inked Background using the Tin Roof Stencil!! I Sprayed the back of my Stencil with some Therm O Web Pixie Spray!! If you've NEVER used this on your detailed Stencils, it's a game changer!! I then placed the Stencil over my Card Panel and Inked with some Picked Raspberry Distress Ink using an Ink Blending Brush!! I then removed the Stencil and Inked over the entire Card Panel using the same Picked Raspberry Ink, just applying a lighter coat!!
Next I Die Cut the Tin Roof Cover Fri-Die from some coordinating Glitter Cardstock!! I layered it over the Stenciled Card Panel and adhered it with some iCraft Ultra Bond Adhesive!! I only adhered the main lines and the center of the Flower so that I could POP up the Flower Ends for some FUN dimension!!
Next I wanted to Stamp and Emboss the Sentiment from the This Sucks Stamp Set using some Versa Mark Ink and some WoW Embossing Black Puff Embossing Powder!! SWOON!! I think the Puffy Sentiment will bring a SMILE all on its own!!?? Seriously though, little details shouldn't be over looked when you're creating a Card to BRIGHTEN someones Day!! They not only make the sentiment POP, but they provoke sensory feelings that we ALL NEED when we're feeling down or stressed!!
To finish off the Card I Stamped and Embossed the "well that didn't go as planned"  ~Life  Sentiment on the inside of the card and my Design was finished!! I also created a coordinating Envelope to go with the Card!! I'm trying to do more of this, so I have NO excuses when it comes to sending out the Cards that I create!! Sending MORE "Happy Mail" was one of my Goals this year and so far I'm off to a GREAT start!! Let's hope I can continue to Send Handmade Kindness through out the Year, and INSPIRE you to do the same!!

This Sucks - But, Coffee!

Lisa here and I'm sharing some new release inspiration with you!  I love the sassy sentiments that are available in the CAS-ual Fridays Shop including the new This Sucks stamp set!  I love using bold colors with it too because that's how I feel when I'm being sassy.

I stuck with a color pallet of black, white and red.  I used the Bold Trellis Stencil, some Deco Foil Transfer Gel and Black Foil for this background.

Don't you just love the fun sentiments in this set??

And then there's Cup Refills.  Coffee is my Sassy Fuel!  This sentiment is quite true...lol!

I layered the Coffee Cup Fri-Die and Bubble Box in a wonky pattern.  On this one I used the Starlequin stencil to foil my background.. you know... the one I like to call my favorite!

Today is the last day for the 2019 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  I'm linking this one up to it!  You have until this evening to play along and did you know CAS-ual Fridays is a sponsor??  Lots of sponsors and lots of prizes!  Check it out here and you still have time to play along!
