The Most Wonderful Time!

Welcome back!  I've got a quick and easy Christmas card for you today!

I started with a panel cut from a gel print I previously made.  I love spending a whole crafty session with my gel plate and some acrylic paints, stencils, and other household items and just making bunches of prints to use as background!  I'm getting low on these so I think my next session I'll share some of the fun with you!

I used bubble wrap and burlap to texturize this one...

Then I cut some Funky Flakes from pink glitter paper and glued them onto the background panel in a random pattern.  I also used some of the extra circles that were cut... because why wouldn't I?

Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the Snow Sayings stamp set in pink and a few sequins!  Easy peasy to make bunches of these and fairly flat for mailing!  You could even leave off the sequins if you prefer!

That's me for today!  Thanks so much for stopping and hope you come again soon!

A Spooky Halloween Slimline

I have a fun Halloween Slimline for you today using a cool Gel Print background I created using the Chunky Chevron Stencil.

I stamped the webs from the Spooky stamp set in Versamark onto the corners of the gel print panel I die cut using the smaller slimline die from the Pinked Slimline Dies and heat embossed with some black glitter embossing powder.  Then I layered that base onto a piece of black cardstock I cut 1/8" larger than the gel print panel and then die cut the pinked slimline in white and added the panel to that.  Then I splattered some Purple Distress Oxide spray and watered down black acrylic paint over the top.

I heat embossed and cut the Boo sentiment and a couple spiders from the Spooky set onto white cardstock and popped them up onto the card.  I splattered these also and added Nuvo drops to the spiders' eyes.

That's me for today!  I hope you enjoyed it and come again soon for more CAS-ual Fridays Stamps inspiration!

It Could Be Worse!

Welcome back!  I'm sharing a card today using a Gel Plate background panel that I created in a recent session!  Once I start playing and pulling prints it's really hard to stop!  It's faint but I used the Flowery Background stamp during this Gel Plate session and I love the texture it created!

And it's great to be able to pull them out later when you're not sure how to get started with a new project!  I saw this one and I knew right away what I wanted to do!

I stamped the large part of the sentiment in yellow using the Misti to be sure I'd get a nice solid image and then fussy cut it out and popped it up onto the card.  All that was left to do was stamp the second part of the sentiment in two different colors, trimmed it to a rectangle and popped it up as well!  A few sequins and done!  And fun!

I love this fun This Sucks sentiment set!  Looks like it's out of stock right now, but there are lots of fun and sassy sentiment in the shop and if you love this one you'll love them too!

And I have this for you should you need something from the shop!

Thanks so much and I hope you'll come again soon!

Some Pretty Posies and Gel Print Seconds!

Welcome back!  A short while ago, I shared a project I created using a background I made with a gel plate.  Today I'm sharing a print I made during the same session with leftovers on my Gel Plate... I just grabbed a panel and lifted them right off of the plate leaving a really distressed version of the stenciled raindrops from the Scattered Showers stencil!

I decided it would be the perfect backdrop for these Pretty Posies and that Everyday Dragonfly that I embossed in gold!  I added some Glossy Accent drops to the blooms because they've been rained on of course and added a few clear bubbles around them.

Finally, that sentiment from the Raindrops Duo stamp set was just right!  I just stamped it onto some white cardstock and trimmed it down.

I used a couple of my very favorite Copic combos on this one!

Thanks so much for stopping and hope you'll come again soon!

Under the Weather - Gelli Printing Plate

Welcome back!  We've just come off of an awesome week of New Release inspiration and I hope you enjoyed it!  I decided this month I'm going to play with my Gelli Printing Plate and take you on the journey with me...lol!  I haven't used mine in a while... I had played a bunch and learned a lot from my friend Jean quite a while ago, but hadn't gone back to it since.  Today I decided the new Scattered Showers Stencil and some beautiful paints I have in my stash.

I pulled out my 5x7 Gelli plate and brayer and laid down some of the Folk Art Acrylic in Emerald Green Metallic and Deco Art Glorious Gold Metallic also Acrylic and spread it with the brayer over the plate.

I let the colors mix until I got the blend I wanted.

So pretty right... and it would probably be perfect just like that.

But I decided to add some raindrops with the Scattered Showers stencil.

I placed a die cut panel over it and applied pressure up and down and peeled it off... the result was pretty cool... but... turns out also cool was what was left!

I was look at at the leftovers and thought what the heck and placed another piece of paper I had sitting there over it and it turned out to be my favorite of the night (so you'll see the other another time)

I just loved the light distressed look this one had and the way that the gold that was gathered at the edges of the stencil created a shadow of sorts... so I let it dry completely and then die cut it and it became my base.

I decided the gold glitter paper clouds and raindrops were just right as an accessory and chose these two sentiments all from from the new Raindrops duo (I love these new mini stamp and die sets!!!)

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need some more metallic paints... I use mine quite a bit and I have a feeling I'm gonna end up emptying out a couple containers this month!

Thanks so much for stopping and hope you enjoyed your visit!  In case you feel the need to head on over to the shop, I have this for you (pst.. there's a sale going on right now!!... no code needed and lots of awesome discounts.. plus....)
