This Sucks "well that didn't go as planned" ~ Life!!

Hello Crafty Friends!!
Larissa here today to share an Encouragement Card!! I LOVE creating Cards like this, to send when I KNOW someone Special needs a Pick me up!!
I Started by creating the Stenciled and Inked Background using the Tin Roof Stencil!! I Sprayed the back of my Stencil with some Therm O Web Pixie Spray!! If you've NEVER used this on your detailed Stencils, it's a game changer!! I then placed the Stencil over my Card Panel and Inked with some Picked Raspberry Distress Ink using an Ink Blending Brush!! I then removed the Stencil and Inked over the entire Card Panel using the same Picked Raspberry Ink, just applying a lighter coat!!
Next I Die Cut the Tin Roof Cover Fri-Die from some coordinating Glitter Cardstock!! I layered it over the Stenciled Card Panel and adhered it with some iCraft Ultra Bond Adhesive!! I only adhered the main lines and the center of the Flower so that I could POP up the Flower Ends for some FUN dimension!!
Next I wanted to Stamp and Emboss the Sentiment from the This Sucks Stamp Set using some Versa Mark Ink and some WoW Embossing Black Puff Embossing Powder!! SWOON!! I think the Puffy Sentiment will bring a SMILE all on its own!!?? Seriously though, little details shouldn't be over looked when you're creating a Card to BRIGHTEN someones Day!! They not only make the sentiment POP, but they provoke sensory feelings that we ALL NEED when we're feeling down or stressed!!
To finish off the Card I Stamped and Embossed the "well that didn't go as planned"  ~Life  Sentiment on the inside of the card and my Design was finished!! I also created a coordinating Envelope to go with the Card!! I'm trying to do more of this, so I have NO excuses when it comes to sending out the Cards that I create!! Sending MORE "Happy Mail" was one of my Goals this year and so far I'm off to a GREAT start!! Let's hope I can continue to Send Handmade Kindness through out the Year, and INSPIRE you to do the same!!

Friendship Card and a Farewell Post by Maria

Hello CAS-ual Fridays fans!  Maria here on the blog with you today.  I am so sad to say that this is going to be my last post as a member of the Ink squad.  Being on this team has made me a better designer and having Michele Gross as our lady boss, wow! I can't even stop the tears as I'm writing this.  Michele is the best ever and the girls on this team are simply sweet and amazing!  I could never ask for a better team!  Sadly, my schedule has gone a bit awry but I will continue to promote CAS-ual Fridays and if you follow my blog or instagram, you will still see these projects.

For my project today, I am showcasing my favorite dies from the March release.  I used the Tin Roof Cover Fri-Die and the Sweet Friend Fri-Dies.

Here's my card:

How I made the card:
  • die-cut the Tin Roof Cover Fri-Die with some 110 lb smooth white card stock.  also die-cut a frame die from my stash with to layer this together.
  • adhere acetate sheet with using strong adhesive to create the window for the shaker.
  • add some foam adhesive and add sequin mix for the shaker element.
  • close the shaker card by adding patterned paper with strong adhesive.
  • die-cut the "Hello" from the Sweet Friend Fri-dies on some black card stock.
  • run this piece through a sticker maker and adhere the same on the foreground.
  • stamp the sentiment from the Supercalifragilistic stamp set on some vellum with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat emboss using clear embossing powder.  Adhere this piece around the card and secure with tape on the back.
  • adhere this shaker piece on an A2 side folding card base.
Here's a closer look:

To finish my design, I used my Sakura white gel pen to add some lines and dots to the "Hello" sentiment.

I hope you like my card and got inspired to create something beautiful today!  Please don't forget to use my coupon code "MARIASENTME" for 15% off your order.  For further information including other supplies used, please visit my blog (www.mariarusselldesigns.com).  I hope you have an amazing day, and happy crafting!

Huggable Critters

Hello it's Michelle from Seashell Creations here today sharing some cute bunny projects I made for Easter.
I love this set of Huggable Critters so much, there are so many possibilities and I've only just scratched the surface with these cute bunny projects.

My first project is a gift bag filled with Easter eggs.

My second project is a card that could be used for Easter or a birthday!
Don't forget that a gift card can be easily placed inside the bunnies paws!

I started by pulling out some different shades of pink and some white card stock and got to it with my die cutting machine.  I also die cut some flowers using the 4 Petals Fri-dies.

After playing around with different color combinations, I glued all the pieces in place and decided to make a card out of one of the bunnies and a gift bag out of the other.

I die cut the Tin Roof cover Fri-die from some white card stock and glued it onto a white card base.
I adhered the other bunny with foam tape directly onto a white gift bag and filled it with Easter eggs.

Here's a link to the Fri-dies and don't forget you can use my special discount code below for 15% off your purchase in the shop (excluding postage).

Thanks for looking and I'll see you again soon!
