Sending Hugs

Hi all - it's Vicki here today from All I Do Is Stamp.

Today I went with a semi Valentine's Day card using the [so fun] Little Huggables cat image, along with the matching Little Critters Die.

For my background, I used the Heart to Heart background stamp, and colored it with Copics.

These cute kitties just make me smile.  I hope it does for the recipient too. 😀

That's it for me today. I hope you enjoyed my card~

I'm so sorry for your loss

Hi everyone!! Hopefully your all enjoying a great weekend whether your stuck in quarantine or not. Or your about to start another week like me, although I hope yours is a lot warmer!!

The past week has been quite emotional for me and my family. We got a second opinion on a lump which our Golden Retriever Bella had on her chest since March. Our regular vet kept saying it would heal and wouldn't remove it. My husband took her to another vet on Monday last week for a second opinion. They immediately took a biopsy and we heard it was cancer 24hrs later. The following day we had to wait to see if her x-rays told us it had spread and thankfully it hadn't, so they went ahead with a huge surgery to remove it all.

She is doing well and is pretty much back to her goofy self. She has been extremely needy though, wanting cuddles and pat's 24/7 which we've all been happy to give her. It really got me thinking about how horrible it would have been to suddenly not have her around anymore and how awful it is for everyone to lose a fur-baby. Since I was in this frame of mind I decided to make a card using some of the new stamps and stencils:

I couldn't bring myself to put a little doggie on this card but really sorry if you do have a black and white cat......don't want to upset anyone.....

I used the new Pawesome Stencil which has four different images on it that can be used for all sorts of card themes. The little cat is from the Little Huggables stamp set and the sentiment from the new Rainbow Bridge stamp set which is perfect for all those pet sympathy cards. You can find out how I put this all together over on my blog HERE.

I hope this gives you some ideas for those times when you do have to make a pet-sympathy card. I know not everyone thinks the same about their pets but for someone like me who considers them part of my family, a card knowing someone out there is thinking about us is a lovely thought.

Please give your pets a big squeeze from me and I'll see you all back here soon with a much more happy and upbeat card, I promise!!

Take care
Shona

A Pawesome Shaker!

Hi all!  Lisa here and today I'm sharing a quick shaker I made using the new Pawesome Stencil, Pawprints Chipboard, and a sentiment from the Little Huggables Stamp Set!

I started with the stencil and first blended some pawprints using the stencil onto it in pink, yellow and green Distress Oxides.  Then I added additional ink to the background over the stenciled area in the same colors to soften it.

The frame was leftover ... I had cut a smaller window from a rectangular piece of white paper for a different project and ended up with the perfect window for a shaker!  I decided I needed to use it right away and this one would be perfect.  I just trimmed it down a bit to leave a boarder.  Then I added acetate to the backside of the window and then pop up foam tape around the entire frame.  I added sequins to my base and then popped the frame over the top!

Next I dabbed some Versamark ink onto the largest Pawprint Chip Board heart and embossed it in Wow Opaque White Embossing Powder.  After it cooled I dabbed on additional ink and some Wow Taffeta Embossing Powder.  Then I added more foam tape to pop it up on my shaker window... I love that it's a window that shows the window behind it...lol!

And that's me for today!  Thanks for stopping and hope you enjoyed your visit!  Come again soon for more CASual Fridays inspiration!

Coffee - A Hug in a Mug

Hi everyone, thank you so much for popping in and really hope you and your family are doing well. We have started our third week of complete lockdown in New Zealand and so far everyone is doing a good job with staying at home but the past few nights I've been out walking the dog to find groups of people out on the pavements in front of their houses, having get-togethers with neighbours, friends etc...and they are not six feet apart!!! I just don't understand their mentality. I'm off to the supermarket soon for the 3rd time in three weeks and I'm petrified.....

On to cuter topics, my dog and cats have loved us being home as I'm sure all your pets have around the world. And I was thinking about what food (apart from flour) would be consumed the most with everyone being at home and think maybe coffee!! So I decided to combine these two thoughts on one card:

I used so many different products on this card: die-cuts from Coffee Cup Fri-Dies, stamp images from Coffee Talk and Little Huggables and a stenciled background using the Curtis Stencil.  For all the details on how I put this card together, pop over to my blog HERE.

Hopefully you've had a chance to do some crafting during your lockdown and CFS is still posting out purchases, so feel free to do some internet shopping from home. Please stay safe and I'll see you back here again soon with some more card ideas.

Take care
Shona

Hi There Hop Stuff!

Hi there!  Lisa here and I'm sharing another shaker similar to one I made for the Crafting of Hue Sponsorship Weekend so I could show you how I made this shaker using the paw die from the Huggable Critters die set!

I started by cutting the Bubble Box layer using the 2nd largest die in the set.  I taped it in place and then took the paw die from the Huggable Critters set and taped it in the bottom left corner so I could run them through together and avoid an extra run through the Gemini.  Then I took that piece and taped the paw die in place again and ran it through.  Then one more time so the paws were hopping across the bubblebox.  Once all three paws were cut out, I ran the entire thing through with a floral embossing folder.

Next I adhered acetate over the back of the die cut paws and added foam tape to create a well around the area I wanted to place my sequins and then additional tape to provide support for the Bubble Box layer.  I filled the well with sequins... using my fine tweezers to flip them over so when the shaker was right side up, most of the sequins would be too!

And finally I placed the design paper that I wanted to show through the shaker windows over the back.  I added adhesive to that and flipped the whole shaker element over onto my card front.

To finish it off, I used this cutie pie bunny from the Little Huggables set that I colored with my Copics.

And I added this cute sentiment also from the Little Huggables set... love all of the punny sentiments on this set!

A few sequins and done!

Thanks so much for stopping today!  Hope you enjoyed your visit and that you'll come back for more inspiration soon!  And should you need anything from the shop, I have this for you:

Happy Birthday to You

Hi all it's Vicki here today from All I Do Is Stamp.  I needed a January birthday card and this one fit the bill.

I just think of black and gold for the month of January.  I added in the fun kitten from Little Huggables with matching Huggable Critters Set Fri-Dies.

I gold embossed the Full On Foral background, along with a sentiment from Whole Shebang. I sure like the little critters.  I think they are just fun!

I Ruff You!

Lisa here!  I knew I wanted to create a Valentine for today and my first thought was flowers and then I remembered the adorable Huggable Critters Fri-Dies!

I was in the mood for this pup!  And I love him in Black and White so I made him spotted!  I cut one body piece in white and one in black and handcut some spots out of the black one to add spots to the edges of his body.

And I thought it would be so cute for my Valentine to be carrying a Valentine!  I cut the Heart Board Fri-Die out of red glitter paper and plain white cardstock and then alternated the little heart frames back together.  And of course he'd have a puppy Valentine with a cute little Punny sentiment from the Little Huggables stamp set.

So there you have it... a Valentine with a Valentine... I wonder if that little pup Valentine is carrying a littler pup Valentine??

Should you decide you need this pup or anything else, I have this for you:

And did you know this is going on right now??

Thanks so much for stopping!  Hope you enjoyed your visit and come back soon and often for more inspiration!

A Simple Birthday Card from a Sketch

Hello everyone!! Happy Thursday!! Nora here from A Creative Touch with a simple birthday card I created by looking at my supplies in a different way.

Stencils: Curtis Stencil

I started out the design for this card from a sketch that I created. I most often start in my head with an actual design idea and go from there. On the sketch below, I knew I wanted to use a stencil in the center, surrounded by two square frames die cut from scraps.

I decided that I wanted to make this a birthday card and thought three balloons would look great in the center. I looked at my CAS-Fridays Fri-dies and found that one set of ovals from the Huggable Critters Set was the perfect size for the design of my card.

I die cut the oval from white cardstock and then used Distress Inks to blend color onto each one.

After blending, I adhered some twine onto the back of each one. I added glue to the twine and straightened it out, letting it dry.

While the twine was drying, I used the Curtis Stencil and the same three Distress Inks on my card front, only selecting a small portion for the blend.

Next I adhered the frames over the stenciled area on the card front.

I took the balloons and used foam adhesive to adhere them to the card. This gives them a bit of dimension and adds interest to a simple card design.

I then stamped a sentiment from the Little Huggables Stamp set. I altered the "Hoppy Birthday" to say "Happy Birthday." You can make small changes like this to get more use of your stamps.

My last step was to adhere the sentiment to the card front using foam adhesive and add some bows underneath the balloons.

I hope this post makes you take a look at your products in a different way. I would LOVE to see what you can come up with!!!
