Hi All, it's Vicki here today.  Did you know that CAS-ual Fridays has been around for 9 years!  That is so awesome for this industry 😀.  I have had the pleasure of creating for CFS since March 2016!  5+ years.  I like that too.  In honor, today I made a birthday card.

I used the [so fun] Pop Clink Fizz stamp set for the background --[I really love these glasses], and used a sentiment from [my favorite] Shenanigans.  [Totally love the mixed font in this set]

To add a pop of color and some fun, I used the balloon die from Bunny Dies. I added some Glossy Accent to make the balloons shiny, and black thread for the balloon strings.

I have a few birthdays this month, so this will be going to someone -- girl or guy, this card works!

Everybunny Needs Somebunny Sometimes!!

HELLO CRAFTY FRIENDS!! 

Larissa here today with a SWEET Shaker Card!! I LOVE creating Shaker Cards and the Somebunny Images are a PERFECT match!!

I started by Stamping and Embossing the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Somebunny Stamp Set Bunny Image and colored it with Copic Markers!! 
Bunny: N0, N3 & N5    Moon: Y11, Y15 & YR23  

Then I used the coordinating CAS-ual Fridays Bunny Fri-Dies!! Then I added some Tonic Studios Aqua Shimmer Pen and Morning Dew Nuvo Drops finishes off the Moon and Stars for Shimmer and Dimension!! 

 I Die Cut the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Star Stackables Die Set to create the Window for the Shaker into my Card Base!! I added some Black Soot Distress Paint Splatters, and some Tonic Studios Aqua Shimmer Pen Splatters!! In person its so BEAUTIFUL!! Some Studio Katia Iridescent Stars and some Mini Star Confetti were added for even more Sparkle!!

 To make the shaker Window, I backed it with some Acetate, Fun Foam and some of the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Spring Paper!! I Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment and filled the Window with a mixture of Jewels, Sequins and Mini Star Confetti!!

Birthday Bunny

Hello, it's Michelle here today sharing a  birthday card I made using the Somebunny and Shenanigans Stamp sets.  For some reason I love adding pink clouds when I use this cute bunny.  

I started by stamping the bunny and sentiments out using my MISTI.

Next I wanted to add some pink clouds so I drew a line of clouds on some paper and cut it out to make a quick stencil.  I sponged some Be Mine CP Ink using a blender brush.

I die cut the bunny and balloon using the coordinating Bunny Dies and colored in using alcohol markers.  I adhered them using some liquid glue.  I could have masked my stamped image when stenciling the clouds but I was feeling lazy!

Hey there. Well this is my last post for the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp company. I have had such a good time doing some design work for this great company this month. I used the Somebunny stamp set and Bunny dies today to create this card and 3 more on my blog.

For my card I wanted a dreamy watercolor sky for our bunny to be hanging from so I wet a water color panel and played with soft pink, yellow and navy watercolors to create a sky. When it was dry I stamped the bunny, stars and greeting in navy ink. Trimmed the panel to 4 by 5.25" and added to an top-folding, A2 navy card base. Whenever I create a card with a dark colored card base I add a white panel inside the card to write on.

Creating A Fun Background With Copic Markers

Lisa here!  Today I'm sharing with you a fun way to create a background using your Copic markers (or any other alcohol markers) and some blending solution (or alcohol).  These are the cards I created using two backgrounds I made this way.

I started with a white panel... I made two of these... one with regular white cardstock and one with 100 Lb paper that I use when I stamp and color with my Copics.  Both worked just as well.  I basically chose the colors I wanted that I thought might be interesting together and laid them out in the pattern I wanted.  My first strokes down the paper were with the wide flat end of the marker (you know ... the one that is usually only there for filling...lol!).  I quickly moved down the paper and swiped across.  Then I started at the top again and went through it all again.  I probably went over it about 4 times, and the last couple I switched to the brush end and made smaller swipes and filled in blank areas... I also made sure to put some unexpected strokes... a little purple in the blue.. a little blue in the green and finally ended up with this:

Next I poured a little bit of Copic Blending Solution into the cap... 80% alcohol works great for this technique, but I couldn't find my large bottle of alcohol so I decided to use the Blending Solution.  I dipped a paint brush (no water please) into the solution and then splattered it onto the panel that I colored.  If you want big blobs then add more alcohol... smaller splatters use less.  This is even less controllable than splattering water over distress oxides so be willing to let the liquid do what it does .. which is push the color away and you end up with something like this:

Pretty right?  I made two because I didn't think I was happy with the first and wanted to try it with the different paper, but once I was done, I decided I loved both panels and made two cards instead of one!

I started with this one... I used the full panel in the way back... it was the center of the panel that I was not happy with so this was the perfect use for this one.  I used the Bubble Box Fri-Dies and cut the larger one in plain white cardstock and the next size I cut from the second panel.

Before I layered everything, I stamped that pretty border design from the Bold Wishes Stamp Set onto the smaller Bubble Box using Versamark and heat embossed them in gold.  Then I stamped the Wish Big sentiment from the same set in a purple ink, fussy cut it and popped it up onto the inked panel.

I used the balloon dies from the Bunny Fri-Dies to cut out three balloons from some Copic friendly paper and then used some of the same markers that I used for the background to color them in.  I love that these colors don't completely blend.. I think it makes for a fun contrast... I attached some twine with popup tape and added the balloons to the card.

Finally I just added a couple sequins in similar colors to the rest of the card and done!  I thought I was done... but then I was looking at the piece that was left from cutting out the small inked Bubble Box layer and decided it would make a cool shaker frame:

So I made one!

First, I laid the window piece over the white layer so I could line up and stamp my sentiment from the Dream Then Do Stamp Set in the center.  Next I adhered a piece of clear cardstock to the inside of the window panel and then added popup tape around the outside edges.  I added some sequins ... enough to create a pretty sequin filled shaker, but not so much that the sentiment would be covered up.  I saved a few for the outside.

I decided this one called for some pretty flowers... so I used the 4 Petals Fri-Dies to cut some flowers and the Garden Fri-Dies to cut some leaves from white Copic friendly paper and then colored them in with the same markers I used for the background.  I layered the flowers together along with some leaves and then added a few sequins to the center.

I added a few more sequins to the outside of the shaker and this one was done!

Somebunny Hoppy Birthday

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here today with a new small card tutorial I made for CAS- ual Fridays blog.

I used a cute stamp set and Fri- dies to make a black and white (with a touch of gold) Birthday card.

As you can see this card has minimum coloring and minimum embellishments.

Actually I only used glitter glue and some enamel drops to add gold touches and some coloring of the bunnies.

And now to the tutorial:

1. Die cut two card bases in the A2 size- one black and one white.

Stamp the Heart to Heart background with black pigmented ink over white cardstock and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Stamp the same background with VersaMark over black cardstock and heat emboss with white embossing powder.

2. Cut both stamped pieces diagonally . Glue two triangles over the black card  base as shown. Glue the two remained triangles on the back and die cut the smaller rectangle. Glue the smaller die cut  rectangle over the first one as shown.

3.Stamp the bunny image twice- one over black cardstock with white heat embossing and one over white cardstock with black embossing. Die cut both bunnies and one balloon as shown.Stamp the sentiment with permanent black ink.

4. Arrange the images over the basic card and glue them with 3d foam glue.
Add gold glitter glue and white, black and clear enamel dots as shown. Your fancy and yet easy to make card is done.
