Don't Cry

Hi all, Vicki here today.  Today is also the Just Us Girls Challenge #550, because I am on that DT also, I decided to combine the 2.  Plus, maybe you will even join in on the challenge!

I will start off with the photo inspiration, which in turn, will show you how I was inspired.

I instantly thought of the Cup of Coffee set, and went from there.

So, yeah I am on the trend wagon of slimline cards.  To be honest, I still am not convinced I like them. That said, I wanted to try something [I saw online], and it worked, so I went with it.  What did I try?

Extending your stencils for a background on a slimline card.  Actually, by using the Modern Pedals Stencil, it worked really easy.  Sponge the first half, move and align the stencil pattern, finish sponging the 2nd half.  Super easy.

I also used Pretty Posies  [for the cup pattern], Casual Trees Fri-Dies [for the foliage], and lastly, Coffee'isms [for the sentiment].

[Just a side note - if you use my code, you can save 15% off your purchase!]

Were you inspired by the photo?  I know most of you like coffee cards, so this should be an easy challenge!  Come on over to JUGS and play along!  I'd love to see what you create.

Thanks for stopping by~

Ahhh Everything is Okayer Now

Hi All, it's Vicki here today from All I Do Is Stamp.  Today I made a simple card that I like!  Sometimes, simple works well. :)

I started by inking on some color using the Modern Petals Stencil.

Using the Coffee Cup Fri-Die I cut out the cup twice.  Once with black card stock, and another with some designer paper I had in my stash.  I used one of the sentiments from the Cup of Coffee stamp set.  Like I said, a simple card, but very supportive at the same time.

That's it for me today.  Don't forget, you can save 15% off any CFS purchase by using my code!

Happy New Year 2019!

Wishing all of you the best in the coming year!  "May the Best of Your Todays Be The Worst of Your Tomorrows!"...my wish to you.. compliments of Jason Mraz!

Today I'm celebrating with a little "Coffee"?  Maybe... or maybe not!..lol!  Sometimes my coffee cup doesn't necessarily contain coffee....

As I was looking through my coffee sentiments for my last card using this cup, I stumbled on "Possibly Vodka" from the Cup of Coffee Stamp Set and the idea for this card was born!  I started by cutting my layers.  I knew I wanted Black, White, Silver and Gold for a New Years card.  I cut my Bubble Box layer in black cardstock and then dry embossed it with a folder to play along with the final Friday Challenge that runs through tomorrow.

Then I decided to Jazz up my Coffee Cup Fri-Die with some foil.  So I cut the cup from some Toner Paper which is simply paper you can buy that is printed all black with Toner.  It's fun to die cut shapes from and then apply foil.

The foil will cover the entire piece because the paper is covered in Toner (like from a laser printer).  Some people foil with adhesive, but my favorite way is to foil using my Minc machine or you can use a laminator.  I placed my cup die cut with the toner side facing the "back" of the foil I was using and then inside my transfer folder.  You can also use parchment paper as a transfer folder.  You then feed it through whatever heat machine you choose to use and when it comes out, you peel back the foil and the colors have transferred to the die cut!

The foil I used was perfect with some silver, black, and gold!  I foiled the inside cup piece (where the coffee or other liquid would be) using some gold foil.

I chose the snowfall embossing folder because I thought it also looked a little like bubbles.. and I didn't mind that the white core of my paper broke through in spots because I felt it made them look even more like bubbles!  Then I layered all of my pieces, popped up the cup, and cut a few of the Jumping Jacks die cuts from some purchased foiled cardstock in gold and silver and scattered them around along with some sequins!

So... yeah.  It might be coffee... or possibly vodka... maybe even champagne!  Either way, it's a celebration in a cup!  I hope you've enjoyed this non-traditional New Years Celebration and hope that whether you are out on the town with lots of friends or relatives or on your couch sipping some coffee with one or two of your favorite people (and/or furry babies...lol!) that you enjoy your evening ringing in the New Year!  Personally I'm in Arizona, but originally from the Buffalo area.  We're two hours behind so I'm thinking we may celebrate Buffalo New Years and call it a night!...lol!

AND if you're signed up for the CAS-ual Fridays newsletter you may know that there is a fantastic end of year sale going on right now!  Everything that is in stock in the shop is already marked at sale prices for at least 19% off!  There are some really great deals available there and no code is needed for these sale prices!  And to make it even better you can use one of the DT codes to save even more!  Mine is below or you can use the code of whatever DT member inspires you!

And you've still got until tomorrow to play along with the final Friday Challenge!  Let's give this long running challenge a proper send-off shall we?  And don't forget to make a stop at the DT's blogs to say thanks for all of the inspiration!

Coffee or Middle Fingers For Today

Howdy CAS-ual Fridays fans! Maria here with you today!  Who is getting ready to travel this summer?  Are you looking forward to having some time off?  Those family get-togethers are fun, but can sometimes be really stressful.

For my project below, I am showcasing the Cup of Coffee stamp set, Coffee Cup Fri-Dies and the Hot Coffee stamp set.  I have been meaning to make this card to give to a family friend who drinks a lot of coffee (and vodka), especially when she's upset.  I figured this card will cheer her up and make her laugh.

Cup of Coffee Stamp set

Coffee Cup Fri-Dies

Hot Coffee Stamp Set

I started out by die-cutting my coffee cup on a watercolor background paper .  I also die-cut out the middle piece of the coffee die on some Neenah solar white card stock and used my E35 and E37 copic markers to color it.  I adhered this piece to the coffee cup.

On another A2 size solar white card stock, I used a border die from my stash.  I stamped the sentiment from the Hot Coffee stamp set all over my white card stock to make it look like watermark.  I think the sentiment "possibly VODKA" is hilarious!

I die-cut the coffee script sentiment using the die that is included in the Coffee Cup Fri-Dies with some black card stock.  I adhered this piece on the coffee cup.  To finish my design, I positioned the sentiment onto my stamping tool and masked some of it so that it can fit on the coffee cup.  I also used my Sakura Gelli-roll white pen to add some details to my card.

I specifically stamped the sentiment "possibly VODKA" with a light gray ink so that it wouldn't overwhelm the whole card design.  Here's a little close-up:

I absolutely adore these stamp sets!

I hope you like my project today.  Please don't forget to use my coupon code below when you place an order at the shop to get 15% off.  Have a nice day and happy crafting!

Happy Little Coffee Cup

Do you love your coffee? I do! I can't even get my eyes to focus in the morning until after my first cup, and I can't even begin to be productive until after my second. First I do the coffee, then I do the things!
Today's project from Lisa is fun and clever, and will delight any coffee enthusiast :)

Hi friends! It's Wednesday and goodness knows I've been dragging this week so coffee was on my mind when it came time to get crafty. I LOVE the large Coffee Cup FRI-Die Set and that fun mug image. For this card I've used the die for a negative cut technique. I wanted to go with the red, yellow, and green colors behind the cut to represent the colors you see as a download is occurring. Hence the perfect sentiment came from the Cup of Coffee Stamp Set. I hope your week is a little more lively, and if not well grab that cup and fill'er up lol!

I think she nailed it! Now let's all go get more coffee!!
Have a super day :)
