Funny Birthday Card with Frankly-isms by Maria

Hello CAS-ual Fridays fans!  It's Maria back on the blog with you today with a super funny (and quick), clean & simple card showcasing the Frankly-isms stamp set.

I have been dying to use this stamp set for a friend's birthday.  She and I share the same twisted humor and I thought this is going to be a perfect birthday card for her.

I ink-blended an A2-size Bristol smooth white card stock with distress oxide inks.  I used a stencil from my stash and combined Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin and Candied Apple with my mini ink blending tools.

I stamped the sentiment in the middle and adhered this piece on an A2-size card base.

I finished my design by adding the sparkling clear jewels to add more interest and texture.  Here's a closer look:

I hope you like my project today.  Please visit CAS-ual Fridays Stamps  to purchase the stamp that I featured today.  You can also visit my blog for further details including a full list of the supplies I featured today.  Don't forget to use my coupon code "MARIASENTME" for 15% off your order at CAS-ual Fridays.  Happy stamping!

You're Sassy, Classy and Pretty Bad Assy!

Hello Cas-ual Fridays stamp fans! Maria here on the blog today sharing with you a "sassy" coffee card showcasing a LOT of products from the shop.  I used one of my all-time favorite stamp set called Frankly'isms with the Cup of Coffee stamp set and Coffee Cup Fri-Dies and the Scallop Tags Fri-Dies.

Here's what I used:

I started out by stamping the Coffee Cup image on a gingham patterned paper and die cut the same with the Cup of Coffee Fri-Die.   I die-cut the tags using the Scallop Tags Fri-Dies with vellum and patterned paper. I ran the vellum tag on a hearts embossing folder to give it more dimension. I adhered both tags using mini glue dots.

On a piece of Bristol smooth white card stock, I used a stencil from my stash to add some color to the background with distress oxide inks.  I sprayed it with water to get the oxidize effect.

I adhered the tags onto my colored background.  I stamped the sentiment onto the "coffee cup" and adhered this piece on top of the tags.

To finish the design, I added the bow on top of the tag and also added some brown jewels to make them look like coffee bubbles.

Here's a closer look:

Don't you just LOVE the sentiment?  If you love coffee as much as I do, I think that sentiment is perfect!  I also added some white highlights using my Sakura gel pen.  I LOVE those brown jewels! They just added a little bit more "oomph" to the whole card design, don't you think?!  Here's another look:

I hope you like my card today.  Don't forget that you can use my coupon code below to get 15% off your order.  Check out the $5 or less stamps and dies available now before they get sold out.  Happy crafting!

Coffee or Middle Fingers For Today

Howdy CAS-ual Fridays fans! Maria here with you today!  Who is getting ready to travel this summer?  Are you looking forward to having some time off?  Those family get-togethers are fun, but can sometimes be really stressful.

For my project below, I am showcasing the Cup of Coffee stamp set, Coffee Cup Fri-Dies and the Hot Coffee stamp set.  I have been meaning to make this card to give to a family friend who drinks a lot of coffee (and vodka), especially when she's upset.  I figured this card will cheer her up and make her laugh.

Cup of Coffee Stamp set

Coffee Cup Fri-Dies

Hot Coffee Stamp Set

I started out by die-cutting my coffee cup on a watercolor background paper .  I also die-cut out the middle piece of the coffee die on some Neenah solar white card stock and used my E35 and E37 copic markers to color it.  I adhered this piece to the coffee cup.

On another A2 size solar white card stock, I used a border die from my stash.  I stamped the sentiment from the Hot Coffee stamp set all over my white card stock to make it look like watermark.  I think the sentiment "possibly VODKA" is hilarious!

I die-cut the coffee script sentiment using the die that is included in the Coffee Cup Fri-Dies with some black card stock.  I adhered this piece on the coffee cup.  To finish my design, I positioned the sentiment onto my stamping tool and masked some of it so that it can fit on the coffee cup.  I also used my Sakura Gelli-roll white pen to add some details to my card.

I specifically stamped the sentiment "possibly VODKA" with a light gray ink so that it wouldn't overwhelm the whole card design.  Here's a little close-up:

I absolutely adore these stamp sets!
