December 22

Happy Sunday!

We are just 3 days away from Christmas!
Have you created your gift tags yet???

Look at the beautiful tags Girl Friday Virginia created...

Aren't they gorgeous?!
I love the ink distressed edges and the warm colors.

If you are all done with your cards, and all done with your tags, and all done with your wrapping...
Can you come to my house and help me? LOL
Ok, for those of you who are on the ball, we've got a little something to inspire you too.
Check out this gorgeous encouragement card she created using Butterbows

1. Embossing butterbow in clear embossing powder
2. Use Post-it note for masking. Apply the same color/tone one at a time.
3. In this card, Distress Inks was applied (Mustard Yellow, Mowed Lawn, Worn Lipstick, Dusty Concord, Broken China, Feathered Peacock, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon)
4. Stamp sentiment and add sequins and small gems.

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!!

Happy Wednesday!!
I can't believe this time next week, it will be...Christmas!!
Yikes! Where is the time going???
Have you finished your shopping?
Wrapped the presents?
Sent your Christmas cards?

Well, if you need a couple extra ideas for some inky fun as you listen to Christmas music
and wait for Rudolph to bring Santa to your house,
just take a look at what Girl Friday Dana created for you!

Oh wow!!!  I love how she combined a little free hand doodling with Rad, and Christmas Carols!
That looks like a million bucks!!!

But wait! There's more!!

Squeal!!  I love how she used our Bubble Labels Fri-Dies, and rounded off part of them
to create these darling snowmen!
The hats are fussy cut from Merry Kiss-mas, and the Christmas Carols sentiments fit wonderfully.
Don't you love their little twine scarves?

All the stamps and dies she used are available on our website,
as well as at many of your favorite stores!
Please check our Retailers button at the top of the blog to see where you can find them :)

Happy Saturday!

I love designer paper.
That is, I love to collect it!
As much as I adore picking it out, and looking at it often,
I don't very often know what to do with it...exactly.

Girl Friday Sylvia has created 2 wonderful cards that show just wonderful
a little designer paper can be paired with our Christmas Carols stamps.

Isn't that darling?!
I love the cute colorful strips and how she rounded the corners.
By using just a bit of paper on the lower third of the card, you can stretch a sheet quite a ways!

Here she used a strip as a gorgeous panel. I love how she added a bit of bling,
and then repeated it by the sentiment.
The single rounded corner adds a lot to this design :)

These cards are simple but pack a big punch!
And you know what else? Totally mailable too!!

So there you go!
A couple of great ways to use some of your pretty designer papers
with our stamps to create quick and easy, and lets not forget totally stunning,
Christmas cards!

Please follow our Pinterest Boards.
There you can find projects specific to the stamp set you want to see :)

It's not too late to order your Christmas stamps.
All orders placed this weekend will be mailed Monday morning :)

November 2

Happy Saturday!!

Have you seen our Fri-Die tag sets?
Oh my gosh, they are so much fun!
I played with a couple of them, and our Christmas sets to
create a few pretty tags :)

I just love how those pretty flowers layer together!
I cut a few in varying shades and them mixed them together to create my holly flowers.
Because the petals share cut lines, they have a lot of mobility
which means you can easily bend the individual petals up to give a
really pretty 3D look.

I had some fun with glitter paper and the Fri-Dies!
I stamped a soft background of snowflakes then stamped the sentiment right over them.
The pretty funky oval shape frames the sentiment nicely, and I just love the sparkle from that glitter paper!

Here I used the same Oval Tag, the same 4 Petals die but switched stamp sets.
I stamped the Houndstooth right onto the funky oval shape to frame the sentiment from Christmas Carols.
This time I cut 2 sets of the 4 Petals and layered them all together to create more of a Poinsettia look.

Last but not least, I created a very simple tag using the Oval Tag set and Christmas Carols.
By simply adding a few of the 4 Petal flowers, it really dressed it up, and would look stunning on a present.

Each tag took me less than 10 minutes to complete and I am a slow crafter.
They were so much fun to mix and match to create different looks!
I can't wait to make more :)

That's it for today!
Have a fabulous weekend!!

October 3

Happy Thursday!

You are in for a real treat!
Girl Friday Virginia used some beautiful Christmas stamps,
and some not at all Christmasy stamps
to come up with this beauty...

Those super pretty ornaments are the fun chevron bombs from Ka-Boom!
Eeeek, right?!
She "strung" them onto the fun border strip from Woot Woot
and finished it all off with the pretty sentiment and darling flowers from Christmas Carols.
I just love her creativity!

I love what she did with the Houndstooth on this!
She embossed it first in gold (yum) and then applied the color by using an Emboss Resist technique and some masking. Then, to give it some contrast, she stamped the same strip in black.
The sequins really help set off the colorful Big Thanks sentiments :)

I'll betcha that if we all say pretty please, she might create a little tutorial on that cool technique!
Leave a comment right here saying Pretty Please, and we'll see what happens :)

Have a wonderful day!

September 29

Happy Sunday!

Today's projects are beautiful examples of how pretty gray can be.
I know you're thinking to yourself, gray? pretty? is she serious?
Totally serious.
Check out what Girl Friday Lynn did with a few shades of gray...

Those pretty Beanstalks look beautiful stamped in their big bold colors,
and then stamped again without re-inking to create those softer lovely shades.
Wow, that envelope look is really bold and cool!!

Same technique, done in red and gray.
I love how perfectly the tones coordinate when it's the same ink in a second generation.
That line of flowers from Christmas Carols makes a fabulous background!

I hope you'll be inspired to pull out those gray inkpads, and have some fun!

September 23

Happy Monday!
I know that sounds like an oxymoron, but I do believe that even a Monday can be happy,
especially when it starts with a creation like the one Girl Friday Jingle has for you today!

I've said it before...Christmas Carols is not just for Christmas!
Check it out...

OhMyWowzers! That is exactly what I said to Jingle last night when I saw this!
She used those pretty 4 petal flowers from Christmas Carols,
and a bleach technique to create that beautiful background.
It almost looks like tin, doesn't it?
So pretty!
I really like the way she lopped off a portion of the Bubble Labels Fri-die.
Her sentiment from Mums the Word is a lovely fit for this beauty!

See? Monday isn't looking so bad now, is it?
Be sure to leave some love here for Jingle.
We'll be adding this to our Pinterest boards later.
You'll find loads of project inspiration on our set and Fri-Dies boards!
