November 2

Happy Saturday!!

Have you seen our Fri-Die tag sets?
Oh my gosh, they are so much fun!
I played with a couple of them, and our Christmas sets to
create a few pretty tags :)

I just love how those pretty flowers layer together!
I cut a few in varying shades and them mixed them together to create my holly flowers.
Because the petals share cut lines, they have a lot of mobility
which means you can easily bend the individual petals up to give a
really pretty 3D look.

I had some fun with glitter paper and the Fri-Dies!
I stamped a soft background of snowflakes then stamped the sentiment right over them.
The pretty funky oval shape frames the sentiment nicely, and I just love the sparkle from that glitter paper!

Here I used the same Oval Tag, the same 4 Petals die but switched stamp sets.
I stamped the Houndstooth right onto the funky oval shape to frame the sentiment from Christmas Carols.
This time I cut 2 sets of the 4 Petals and layered them all together to create more of a Poinsettia look.

Last but not least, I created a very simple tag using the Oval Tag set and Christmas Carols.
By simply adding a few of the 4 Petal flowers, it really dressed it up, and would look stunning on a present.

Each tag took me less than 10 minutes to complete and I am a slow crafter.
They were so much fun to mix and match to create different looks!
I can't wait to make more :)

That's it for today!
Have a fabulous weekend!!

October 30

Happy Wednesday!
Can you believe October is almost over?!
I guess what they say is true...
time flies when you're having fun!!

Today, Girl Friday Virginia is bringing us her midas touch,

2 gorgeous visions in embossed gold!
The first is embossed over pattern paper which really gives it stunning look.
If you look closely, she stamped it first in a warm neutral to give a soft shadow effect
to those gorgeous gold wheat stalks.
Next she embossed gold over chocolate *yum* on the

Wow, oh wow!
She has used Bold Wishes in the coolest way!
So much color and lots of cool stuff happening here!
Here are Virginia's notes so you can see all the coolness:
Special features:
1. I applied various Distressed Inks over part of the Chevron stencil (by Studio Calico) to create an unique background.
2. To create more visual interests, I added the distressed chipboard and faux stitching.
3. The bold sentiment from Bold Wishes is perfect with this.
4. Stamp the sentiment in light and darker shades of inks to create a bigger impact!

Well, that's it for today!
I'll be back tomorrow to put a little "wee!" into your Halloween :)
