A little note to lift your spirits

Hi everyone! Hope you had a good weekend or are still enjoying it. I have some very good news....my latest New Release products have finally arrived!! After the parcel spent a month in San Francisco, it took another month to arrive at my house, so I'm very grateful to the postal service!!

This means I've finally been able to play around with all the new stencils and chipboard pieces, so you'll be seeing them on a lot on my card designs. Just like today's card:

I had a blast creating this design! I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire while catching up on her YouTube videos. I've never thought to stencil over an image, so decided to give it a go. I used the new Bold Flower Stencil over the Full-On Floral Stamp which was heat embossed in the background. I also used the Sweet Friend Fri-dies and Floating Stamp Set for the sentiments. Pop on over to my blog post HERE for all the details.

Hopefully this has given you a few new ideas for using your stencils and you get a chance to craft this coming week. I'll be back here again soon with more projects using the New Release!!

Take care
Shona

Floating

Jeanne has a delightful card for you today that will have you floating on air

The background was created with distress ink and die cut used as a mask. She stamped the flowerfilled balloon from our Floating stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento and then colored it in with Copics.

Super cute card!!!

Light up balloon!

Happy Tuesday!

One of the things I love most about hot air balloons is that I so often see them in the sky after sunrise. The colors of the balloon paired with the colors of the sky feels magical!
Shona created a little magic using our Floating stamp set...

Stamped onto Bubble Box Fri-Dies and then embossed and colored, it's a super cute image. This card is perfect. But wait, there's more! Look what happens with the press of a finger...

Isn't that cool?! She used some of the Chibitronics products from our recent collaboration to light this project up!

There are so many cool things you can do with a card...but the single greatest thing you can do is send it. I challenge you today to send a card. It can be one you've already made, or get inspired and create a new one, but put it in an envelope and send it to someone who matters to you, who could use a day brightener, who deserves to smile :)

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Happy Wednesday!

Kimberly has done it again! She has knocked my socks off with her amazing Joseph's coat technique using Floating and Heartfelt Sayings.

Here's what she said about this card...
I used Catherine's inks (catherinepooler.com) again with the Joseph's Coat technique. I fussy cut the balloon out and spritzed it with pearlized spray and adhered with foam tape. The background was partially embossed so I had room for the sentiment!

If you missed her video from last month where she showed us all how she does this cool technique, you can click HERE to check it out.

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Happy Tuesday!

Have you met our Floating stamp set? It's super darling if I do say so myself, and just wait til you see what Lisa did with it! Stamping, coloring, fussy cutting, this little card has all that and more!

Here's what Lisa said about creating this cutie:
"To create this card I started by die cutting my circle cardbase. Next I stamped my sentiment from the Floating Stamp set before going over the front with Distress Oxide Ink. My balloon image was stamped onto separate cardstock and colored before I trimmed it out and adhered it with foam adhesive."

Whether the recipient is under the weather or just having a rough day, this card will surely lift their spirits. :)

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Floating Flower Balloon

Happy Thursday!

Today I have a sweet card that will surely make you sigh. It has such a peaceful and happy feeling about it :) Kimberly used the new Floating stamp set and did a little fussy cutting with it.

Here is what Kimberly said about her design process:
I stamped and heat embossed the hot air balloon on vellum and colored it on the back side with Copic markers. The sunburst is from an embossing folder, highlighted with some Distress Ink. The cloud background was also created with Distress Inks.

I hope this sweet card has lifted your spirits today!

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Joseph's Coat and a video too!

Happy Tuesday!

If you hopped with us for the Big Release Blog Hop last weekend, you got to see this awesome card from Kimberly using Floating and So Pretty...

She used a technique called Joseph's coat. She said it was an oldie but goodie, but honestly it's totally new to me! I started a bit of campaign using good old fashioned peer pressure to get her to do a video so we can see how she did it because WOW oh WOW is ever gorgeous!! Kimberly is as sweet as she is talented so she did it! She created a video for us today and a new card using the same technique!

On this one she used Full On Floral background (which is back in stock! yay!)and a sentiment from the new So Pretty stamp set.
Look at it close up. The colors are amazing and just pop off that black background!

So just how did she do it? I have no idea! Let's check out the video and learn together :)

link to her video! https://youtu.be/Zx0DzW_nH8g

I hope you enjoyed it! Please leave her some love, she deserves it :)
You can head right over to the store to grab your Full On Floral or Floating stamps to try this!

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)
