7th Night of Hanukkah

On the 7th Night of Hanukkah, Lisa has created a wonderful 4 panel card for you.

"I had fun creating my own patterned paper with a mix of the Star of David and Spin the Dreidel Stamp sets. Once they were stamped I trimmed them down and adhered them to Silver Glitter cardstock. Next I spaced them apart and adhered them all to a darker gray panel, before finally adhering them to my card base. My sentiment is from the Star of David set as well, and was cut apart so that I could stamp the words next to each other in a darker blue ink. I finished the card with a few flat back gems in silver and blue."

Tomorrow is the big finish to our Hanukkah party. The Menorah will be full and bright and we will have one last project to share with you! Join us!!

6th Night of Hanukkah

On the 6th Night of Hanukkah, we have a stunning card from Kimberly using our new Chanukah stamp set

"I stamped the sentiment from Chanukah in an ombre of different shades of blue ink and then stamped again over top using Versamark ink and heat embossing with clear embossing powder (with just a touch of sparkle added). I placed an oval embossing diffuser over the top of the sentiment and ran it through my die cutting machine with a snowflake embossing folder. I added blue Distress Inks to the edges to finish off the card!"

Only 2 nights left! We hope you are enjoying all these wonderful ideas for cards you can make using our Hanukkah Collection. We'll be back again tomorrow with our 7th project.

5th Night of Hanukkah

5 candles will shine brightly on the Menorah tonight!

For today's project, Vicki made a really pretty card by taking an unconventional route. She used a non Hanukkah set and stretched it's versatility to create a real stunner!
She created those amazing candles using a letter from our Flower-case Alphabet, and then lit them with a border stamp from Modern Petals!!
The gold embossed sentiment from Chanukah pulls in the gold glitter edging and finishes off this card.

We'll be back again tomorrow with another great card idea!

4th Night of Hanukkah

We are celebrating each of the 8 nights of Hanukkah with a special project!
Today we bring you our Night #4 project from Jeanne!

She stamped a delightful background of spinning dreidels using our Spin The Dreidel stamp set and added a sentiment from Star of David. Those cute little sparkly gold stars are from our Hanukkah Fri-Dies.

I hope you are enjoying our Hanukkah projects and are getting lots of great ideas for this year or next year!
We'll be back again tomorrow with more eye candy!

3rd Night of Hanukkah

Tonight 3 candles will light the Menorah!

Nora made a pretty card using a background made up of Star of David, and a sentiment from Chanukah
Did you know there are a lot of ways to spell Hanukkah or Chanukah? Apparently when you translate a language some phonetic liberties can be taken. Both spellings are pronounced the same way, but Chanukah is a more formally recognized spelling of the holiday while Hanukkah has become a more widely spread usage. Either way, your holiday wishes will make their way to the intended :)

The stars stamped in light colored ink give a subtle but still beautiful backdrop to the gold embossed sentiment. It's simple but so pretty!

Another great idea for this year or to file away for next year!
We'll be back again tomorrow for Night 4!

2nd Night of Hanukkah

Tonight 2 candles will be lit on the Menorah and the festivities including gelt, latkes, and family love will continue! We've got a great card idea for you to use this year or file away to use next year.
Shona made this fun and festive Star of David card using pretty colors and a whole lot of gold embossing

I like that she inked the edge of her center sentiment circle, and the fun colors sponged on to the stars make it look like a party folded in half!

We'll be back again tomorrow with our Day 3 Hanukkah project!

8 Nights and 12 Days

Hanukkah begins tonight!
8 nights of dreidel spinning, candle lighting and celebration!
We will bring you 8 days of inspiration! Join us here each day to see awesome Hanukkah card ideas from the Girl Fridays using our wonderful Hanukkah collection stamp and die sets. You can pin them to your pinterest boards for future ideas, or run right over to your crafty stash and re-create one to give.

Kelly created a stunning background by stamping the sentiment from Chanukah in multiple colors and adding a star from 8 Happy Nights.

She die cut a silver dreidel and big star from Hanukkah Fri-Dies, and added a few sequins just to dress it up and add a little sparkle.

The sentiment strip from Mazel Tov layered with the 2 die cuts creates a fantastic focal point, and the bit of silver thread looped behind adds that special designer touch.
You can find ALL of these wonderful stamp and die sets in our Hanukkah and Judaica collection.
And we'll be back again tomorrow for Day 2 of our Hanukkah inspiration parade!

But wait...there's more!!

Kraft and twine

"Brown paper packages tied up with string, these are a few of my favorite things"
Today's card from Maureen makes me think of this line from that song!

She used a white card base and added a stamped kraft panel then added twine. So home-y and package-y and favorite things-y!
She used the sweet little Merry stamp set that is on sale for just $6.49!!
It has that big sweet sentiment with the delightful snowflakes.
Then she added a little heart from our Peace Love & Coffee set that is just $5!!

Have you ever set out to make a card and ended up with something totally different than you planned on making? Or have you ever been close to finishing a card that is perfect in every way and then you drop ink where it's not supposed to be? It happens to all of us! Even the Girl Fridays!
Check out this gorgeous card from Lisa and her story of how it came to be...

"I have to admit something before I tell you how my card was created. This card was originally meant to show off as masking background technique... I failed and had ink outside of the masked area. But I loved the red and the splotches so much that I simply trimmed out my masked area and adhered it to another cardbase. Project saved, yay!!! For my sentiment I heat embossed the joy from the Joy Stamp Set in silver and fussy cut it out. I love how large this sentiment is and that it works as a focal point all in itself! I popped the sentiment up with foam adhesive to finish it off."

Little Blue Partridge

Do you have any cute paper in your stash? Of course you do!
Pull it out and have some fun with it like Jeanne did!
Jeanne made this darling card using our Partridge in a Pear Tree stamp set and cute simple papers that add a warm cozy feel.

I love how she colored the little partridge and the scattered sequins add just the right amount of sparkle.
This is a great set that is fun to color and has beautiful sentiments.
Come on over to the shop and check it out!
