Hello, it's Michelle here today with some card stock comparisons using the Flower Duo Set.
I recently purchased some new card stock and wanted to compare it to some I already had.
I started by stamping with Memento ink onto some Hammermill and Spectrum Noir card stock. They are both very smooth.
Next I took one of my Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers and started coloring.
In case you haven't seen the Tri-blend markers before, they have three shades of the same color in the one marker. You can see in the below photo, I have used the lightest color first and colored the whole image.
Then I added some shading using the mid and dark colors.
I added some more shading and highlights using Polychromos pencils and some white gel pen to the center. You can see in the photo below the difference this made to the flower on the right.
I die cut the flower using the coordinating die.
Next I did some stenciling using the Bubbly and Flowerburst stencils and adhered one of the flowers to each stenciled piece.
I stamped the inside of each card using sentiments from the same Flower Duo set.
I really love the results I achieved from the Hammermill and the Spectrum Noir card stock. The Hammermill is a bit thinner but a lot more cost effective!
