CAS-ual Fridays Stamps: A Card For You to Brighten Your Day

Happy Saturday everyone!! Nora here on the blog today with a card I created using the Flower Duo stamp and die set.

I started off my card by creating my background.

I used Distress Ink Stain and Oxide Spray to create my background. I first spritzed light pink Distress Stain on the corner of an A2 sized piece of white cardstock. I then used the darker pink Distress Stain and Distress Oxide over the top. I let these dry naturally before completing my background with another round of the dark pink stain.

While my background was drying, Using black ink, I stamped the large flower and multiple leaves from the Flower Duo stamp set onto some white cardstock. I used Copic markers to color the images in. I then used the matching dies from the stamp set to cut the flower and leaves out.

I decided to stamp the sentiment on a white cardstock circle die cut that was lying on my desk.

I played around with the placement of the die cuts and decided that I needed to add something below the sentiment on the white circle. I chose to stamp a second sentiment from the Flower Duo set onto a white cardstock strip that would be placed below the first sentiment.

I cut the pink background into a 4" by 5 1/4" piece before I attached it to a white, A2 sized, top folding card base. I tucked in a tiny scrap of the pink that came off the background into the upper, left side of the card so that it would form a visual triangle.

I adhered the leaves and die cut circle in the bottom right corner. I popped up the flower and the sentiment strip with foam adhesive to finish off this card design.

I love when I can use one stamp/die set to create a card. I rarely am able to master this technique but am so excited at how this card came out.
