On World Card Making Day, way back in October, we held a special challenge with the prize being a guest gig for the winner. It's always so hard for me to choose, especially with so many really fantastic entries, but I managed to narrow it down to two really talented designers, each very different. They were so different that I decided to offer two prizes!
Today I am really excited to introduce you to our second guest winner! Her name is Sue and she won me over with her fantastic use of space and color, and her knack for marrying fun techniques with my stamps...and making me feel the need to get my ink on! She will be joining us for the month of December and I think you should prepare yourself to be dazzled!
Please welcome Sue!
Hello my name is Sue Symens. I am a wife, mother and farmer from Iowa. I have been stamping for 20+ years. My style being mainly clean and simple design but I like to try different techniques. I love a great card challenge whether it is
sketch, color or a theme. I feel like it stretches us and helps us to grow.

Hello. I am super excited to be asked to be a guest designer here on the
CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog. I had such
a great time dreaming up ideas for their fun bold stamps. For this weeks cards I selected the
Wheat Wreath stamp set. I really thought this wreath could go beyond fall to Christmas, sympathy, thank you and even a wedding card.
I started this card with a bristol smooth, top folding white card base that I ink blended with three colors of dye ink. Keeping the lightest color to the center and blending the darkest
to the outside edges. After it was dry I splattered the card with some silver paint, stamped the wreath in Versamark ink and heat embossed with silver detail powder. The greeting from the same set was heat embossed on heavy weight vellum and trimmed to create
a band around the card front.
