Happy Saturday!

I'm thrilled to announce that
Angie
is staying on as a Girl Friday!

She's here today with a super fun card,
and cute way to use up some of those left over birthday candles.
You know you have a few of those laying around :)

Isn't it fun?!
Angie prepared some directions for you on
how she put this cutie patootie together...

Hey stampers!

Here’s a quick and fun card I made for a fellow teacher who loves color! I used the Whole Shebang stamp set with the popular smooshing technique and a little emboss resist!

Here’s what I did:

1. Heat emboss “HB2U” with white embossing powder on a strip of watercolor paper 1 1/2” x 4 1/4”.
2. Rub 3 ink pads (I used bright blue, pink, and yellow to go with my candle) onto a plastic page protector sheet. I still don’t have one of those cool mats, but the page protector works great for this!
3. Spray the ink blobs with water, letting the colors run together a bit. Catch the excess run off with a paper towel, tissue, wipe, etc.
4. Speed the drying process with a heat tool if you’re impatient like me.
5. Adhere the watercolor piece to some chipboard to stiffen it up and attach to card front with foam pop up dots.
6. Stamp the top line only of the sentiment by covering the bottom line with post-it tape or notes.
7. On the inside of the card, stamp the bottom line of the sentiment by covering the top line with post-it tape or notes. I love the shocking fun of this sentiment inside…and so did this friend of mine! Of course, know your audience! *wink*
8. Finally, glue the fun birthday candle on card front!

Okay, get out there and do some smooshing! Link up your projects below so I can check them out! Hugs & happy stamping!
