Hi lovelies, It is Tracy here with my first ever post as part of the design team and I am SO excited to be here.
No line colouring is one of my favourite ways to colour using pencils, I love the look it gives and it really isn't as hard as you might think...I'll be honest i find it easier, longer yes but easier.
As soon as I saw the Mon Ami stamp set my instant thought was that I had to try no line colouring with it. It really is a beautiful stamp set don't you agree ?
For no line colouring there is a few different ink pads available now and my advise is see what works for you, I started off using Distress Ink in Old paper but now use Ink On 3 Fadeout.
I stamped the larger of the designs onto some Neenah Solar white that I had trimmed down to just under 4.1/4 x 5.5"
I was going to heat emboss the sentiment but decided against that and stamped in black to add some contrast.
I used Polychromo Pencils to color this and slowly build up the layers but tried to keep a "pencil" look to it.
Once I had done I decided to take some of the lighter warm grey pencils and add some soft shading, this is totally optional but I find it gives the image depth and when you are creating a clean and simple design like this I think it gives it that little something extra.
I was going to put this onto a white A2 notecard but decided to use a soft grey one instead.
I used foam tape to add some dimension to the whole card.
I was going to add some sequins but decided that I liked the look without and left it at that. A simple card that can work for so many occasions.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a great day.
