Hi Folks! I'm happy to share a few cards featuring the awesomely-sized "love ya" sentiment from the new Girlfriend stamp set, and some stenciled hearts from the Heart Board Fri-Dies.
This simple card is made by using the Heart Board Fri-Die to cut a heart from the center of a sheet of copy paper. You can now use the outer layer as a stencil. Place the heart opening on your card base and sponge different colors of distress inks onto your card. I like to overlap them slightly so you can see a different color where they intersect.
Then white emboss the "love ya" sentiment from the new Girlfriend stamp set through the middle of the hearts, and adhere a glittery Heart Note Fri-Die. This design would be a good candidate for mass-producing, if you do that.
This card uses the same heart stenciling technique, but I've also added a pattern to the stenciled hearts with the new Curtis Background stamp. While the stencil is still on your card base, after you've sponged the ink inside, pick one of your large background stamps and just stamp through the stencil opening. You don't always need to use ink on your stamps. Instead, I loosely applied watercolors to the background stamp. As you see it's not a perfect impression.
This last card uses stenciled hearts and a white embossed sentiment, like the cards above, with the addition of a secondary sentiment from Cupid's Arrows. I love that the "always & forever" sentiment is actually an arrow, which of course goes with all the hearts.
