Peace, Love and Coffee

Hi there everyone!! Its nearly the weekend (well, its actually Saturday morning for me here in New Zealand....) and I hope you have some time tucked away to work on a few craft projects or two.....

I haven't been doing much in the way of stamping with my projects lately. I tend to have periods of time when I either stamp or die-cut, do you do that too?? I was really in the mood to get inky and also use a stamp set that hasn't had some love for a while.

I was also inspired to use this set because I've been seeing so much hate towards people on the internet lately and really wish people could be more understanding of others:

This took a while to stamp but was pretty simple to put together. And it was really nice using a soft beige/brown with brighter colours, something I wouldn't normally do.

Using Catherine Pooler Inks 'Party Dress' and 'Fiesta Blue', along with Waffle Flower Inks 'Coffee Loves Milk', 'Safe Choice' and 'New Fish in Pond', I stamped the images from the Peace Love and Coffee stamp set on the white card front. I didn't measure or try to match anything up, just used my eye to keep things pretty level.

I then white heat embossed the sentiment from the same set on a strip of black cardstock and popped on foam tape. I squeezed in a little die-cut by using the small coffee cup die from the Coffee Cup Fri-Dies on some black cardstock and twice more from white cardstock. I glued them all together for stability, coloured the cup inner with a brown pen and popped on foam tape, along with some Neat and Tangled sequins.

Hope this gives you some ideas on how to use some of the smaller stamp images from your sets for backgrounds and if your thinking of purchasing these or any other products, don't forget to use to my special code to save yourself some money!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you back here very soon with some more card ideas.

Take care

Couldn't tell that you hadn't stamped in a while...looks perfect to me. Also, excellent choice of colors...just what I need right now.
