Looking At Your Stamps in a New Way

Happy Monday everyone!! Nora here from A Creative Touch

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Now that Thanksgiving is out of the way for most of us, it is now time to get ready for Hanukkah and Christmas!!

Once again, I created a Christmas card. However, can you tell what I used to make my poinsettia flower?

I used the leaf from the Pretty Posies stamp set!! This was an idea I had at 2:00 a.m. one morning and I knew I had to try it.

I started off by stamping the leaf four times onto a pink background with Versamark, and then heat embossing it in white. I masked off the sections and stamped in between using the same technique. I used scissors to fussy cut the entire flower out.

Next I stamped and embossed the leaves six more times, four more on pink and two on some blended green cardstock. Again, I fussy cut each of the leaves out.

I adhered the large flower onto an A2 sized card that was covered with a piece of pattern paper. I tucked the green leaves under the edges of the flower, and used foam adhesive to adhere the four single, pink leaves over the top of the flower to give it some dimension.

I adhered gold sequins in various sizes in the center of the poinsettia.

My last step was to stamp the sentiment from the Snowy Sayings stamp set in black.

Since today is Cyber Monday, I wanted to remind you that CAS-ual Fridays is having a SALE!!!

Not only are they having such a great sale, CAS-Fridays also has a FREE gift you can earn with your order!!! Isn't this adorable???

That is all from me today. I thank you for stopping by and will see you with another post after Christmas.

Have a FABULOUS day!!
