We have a special guest today!

On World Card Making Day, we held a special challenge with the prize being a guest gig for the winner. It's always so hard for me to choose, but I managed to narrow it down to two really talented designers, each very different. They were so different that I decided to offer two prizes!

Today, I am excited to introduce you to our first guest winner! Her name is Priscilla and she won me over with her use of color and patterns. She really has an eye for it!  She will be joining us throughout the month of November. and who knows just what she might have up her sleeve! It will be exciting to see :)

Please welcome Priscilla!

Best Day Ever! | Guest Designing for Casual Fridays Stamps

Hello, it's Priscilla here today from Nubble Light Designs, and I'm thrilled to be guest designing for Casual Fridays Stamps this month. My card today uses the Cas-ual Fridays "Full on Floral" stamp. This whimsical floral background stamp was so much fun to color with autumn inspired Copic Marker colors. And adding Cas-ual Fridays' "Best Day Ever" Fri-Dies sentiment to it, makes this the perfect fall birthday or celebration card for a friend.

I first stamped on to a piece of Kraft card stock using a "Copic-friendly" black ink. Have you used your Copic Markers on Kraft yet? What a different result than coloring on the usual bright white card stock that most of us use! The resulting colors are much softer and more muted . . . perfect for an autumn look and feel.
I was "in the zone" coloring this large floral image, taking my time, listening to music, and just coloring away . . .
first with orange and yellow tones . . . . . .

then red and earth tones   . . .

and finally, two shades of green. So therapeutic!

After adhering the floral panel to an A2 Card base, I die cut the "Best Day Ever" sentiment from some bright white wood-grained card stock that I had in my stash and adhered it to the front of my card. Three sparking clear jewels were a simple finishing touch to this card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I'll see you back here soon with some more card inspiration. And don't forget to use my special discount code below for 15% discount in the shop all month long.
