Friend, what's up?

Hi everybody! We are half-way through August and running quickly towards Christmas. In New Zealand we are getting close to Spring and I can't wait for all the cherry blossoms to burst (and to finish morning frosts!!).

I wanted to share a card with you today where I've used a stamp set a bit differently. Not having a huge craft budget I'm always looking for new ways to stretch my stamps and dies, so thought I would share with you too!

I don't use yellow on my cards very often but one of my very good friends is obsessed with yellow, so she encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and use it all over the card front!

The floral circles are actually from the hot-air balloon image in the 'Floating' stamp set. I used pieces of washi tape to mask off the balloon strings before covering with Versamark ink. And they fit perfectly in the 'Ornament Tag Fri-dies'. For all the details on how I put this card together, pop over to my blog.

Washi tape is fantastic for masking and I hope this gives you some ideas on how to use some other stamp sets differently. I'll see you back here soon with some more card designs!!

Take care
Shona
