Spread Love

Well hello again! It's Ashlea, and I'm happy to be here today sharing a lovely floral card with some shimmer and shine. I am absolutely loving these pinks and greens with the pops of gold on this card. We're winding down the summer and this design is a great one for one of my last summer-y cards for this year. It was a breeze to create so lets get right into it!

To begin, I pulled three of my favorite shades of pink card stock for the floral pieces in the Garden Fri-Dies set and two shades of green for the leaf dies. For the third leaf color, I grabbed a piece of gold metallic card stock. There really was not much rhyme or reason to my arrangement of the die cuts on the card front except that I left a bit of blank space in the lower right hand corner for the letter sentiment using the Flower-Case Alphabet stamps.

After adhering all of the floral and leaf dies with glue, I embossed the letters "l" "o" "v" and "e" along with the "#" sign in Aladdin embossing powder by WOW. This is my unrivaled favorite powder right now, I highly recommend it! I used some foam adhesive dots to secure those to the white space on the card front and then used my old school Dymo label maker to make the word "SPREAD" and stuck that above the "#love" sentiment I made. This made the final full sentiment "SPREAD #love" which I think we can all use a reminder from time to time. I love the use of the hashtag because we're all so active on social media that it really could be so simple as to send someone a #love. <3

I finished it off with a few Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ebony to bring in some more black since it's the color of the label. I hope that you have enjoyed learning a little about how this card came together for me. I hope that you will enjoy this last full month of summer and spread some #love.
