Hey lovelies, Tracy here with my latest CAS-ual Friday card.
I'm not sure how many of you are like me but often when I first see a stamp set I get an instant idea of what I want to create with it, I ALWAYS try that idea a lot of the time the idea is FAR from what I had in my mind, but at least I tried it.
With this card the card turned out slightly different but I am glad I stuck with it.
I used the Calm & Gentle stamp set and that's how I wanted this card to be, slightly watercolorish in style. I created a very light blue wash on the background and then went about stamping, for the tree trunks I used a grey dye ink as I wanted it to be water resistant.
For the leaves & "blossom" I used Distress Inks in- Iced Spruce, Mowed Lawn & Spun Sugar and I misted the stamp before I stamped the image, I also made sure to rotate the stamp.
I went a bit OTT with the blossoms, but I kinda like how it turned out.
I stamped the believe you can sentiment from the set and also stamped the ribbon using Spun Sugar Distress Ink.
Once the whole piece had dried I added some more leaves and blossoms but this time not adding any water as I wanted there to be slightly more depth...I don't know if I achieved that but I like how it turned out.
So for a card that I was going to add to my bin pile I am kinda glad I stuck with it.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a great day.
