It means so much to us to be part of this wonderful, thoughtful, heartfelt blog hop. You should have arrived here from Caley Person's blog. If however you've just wandered in, please jump over to Lea's blog, our hostess with the mostess, to start from the beginning and hear her heartbreaking yet inspiring story to understand why this hop is so very, very important. It's not just important to those of us who know and love Lea, but it's important for ALL the sweet parents who will benefit from all of this.
We are joined by LOTS of wonderful companies as sponsors of this fundraising hop so be sure to follow along for your chance to win one of the generous prizes and I hope you'll be moved to do what you can for Layton's Legacy.
In addition, while we don't want to make this a selling event,
we are humbly donating 15% of all our website sales for the duration of this hop to Layton's Legacy Fund.
If you would like to donate directly to the fund to help Lea support the NICU parents who need our hugs and support, you can CLICK HERE to make a monetary contribution.
I am joined today by designers from both my Company Team and my Encouragement Squad Challenge Team. I rarely create cards anymore, my creative time is devoted to designing new stamp and die sets, but I really wanted to create a card for this hop. Unfortunately, life had other plans for me and as I write this, I am in a hospital surgical floor waiting room while my dad has his second surgery in 8 days for a very serious situation.
Thankfully, I have not lost a child, and I can never know what it's like to be a parent enduring what Lea and her husband have endured.
But...I do know what it's like to be scared you might lose someone you do not want to lose.
I know what it's like to wait for answers that often don't come, and to hope that procedures and surgeries are working, but not know for sure.
I know what it's like to sit in a hospital room for hours listening to the various beepings, and alarms and sounds that are in the rooms, and hope that it doesn't AGAIN disturb your loved one's much needed sleep.
I also know what it's like for family members to fear leaving the room for a much needed break because what if the doctor comes while we're gone?
Layton's Legacy will bring love and support to families who need it. It's a small thing to do that will have a really big impact.
I hope so much you can help Lea in her cause.
Thank you for hopping with us.
I ask that you please share this hop with your friends in blogland.
